Chapter 49 - Chapter 23

I was received by twins Kirigan and Kaz. Not identical in appearance but both were equally annoying. I was taken to the royal suite. Where a young woman by the name of Alita stepped forth as a maiden in charge of the floor. Something about her made me feel uncomfortable. I smiled, "Darling I have attendants. You can run along." I happily nod my head and stern women in black Victorian style outfits walked in. They drew me a bath and helped me change my clothes. I was introduced to the other types of vampires that exist. There the red eyed ones that looked extremely beautiful, the icy blued eyed, pale skin and white hair, there were those with scary black and blue veins on their faces, there were those that had a bat like appearance, my grandfather's progeny and lastly the humanized ones. Weirdly enough there wasn't an ability that they had that I didn't possess.

Then there was the werewolves variety. There were the original ones that can't change back, the second generation evolved ones from great uncle that smell like wet dog, the ones that only change into normal wolves like the ones people see in the forest, the ones that are slightly hairy in human form and also the humanized ones. There was one that stood out. His eyes were bloodshot. He smelled unusual. He had two scent coming off of him as though he had been injecting someone else into his body. So I flit into his head and saw that he has been using this place as a trap so his type of werewolves could get their hands on hybrids to enhance themselves.

So my next move was to spring the trap. That was easy since I can make people talk so I faced him head on. I made him tell me everything and the others surrounded him. He immediately changed into a huge werewolf. He was three times larger than the original ones. I screamed and he changed back to his human form. His other associates tried to defend him but I changed my appearance back my old self and howled. They froze still and they tried to move but their bodies refused to listen. I nod my head the other wolves ripped him to pieces. His father screamed in annoyance that his son was beaten so easily. When they were finished with him I asked his associates nicely if they knew anything about this. Since I had given them no choice they explained what the hell they have been doing to the hybrids behind everyone's back. As per the orders of the council they were killed and the place was cleaned so no one else can enhanced. The hybrids were sent to healers and they were made part of the vampire coven. Since they had no desire to use them.

I was asked very politely what I was. I explained that I was a combo of vampire and werewolf. I explained how I became this and proved it too. The vampires smirked since this proves that they are superior. I made it clear that my grandfather was the first vampire and his brother my great uncle was the first werewolf. This shocked everyone. But I let them absorb this before I went to my room. My great uncle was brought forth and they tested my blood with his and was proven to be true. This was an overwhelming surprise to some. They wanted to debate whether I should be considered an anomaly. The others said that they think this is for the best and they let it go. This time I was officially called 'The Queen of the Night'. There was a ball to celebrate and people partied all night before we went back to our quarters.

The next morning I decided that I will go exploring the woodlands. There were those that wished to join me but I made it clear that I want to go alone. I jumped out of the veranda and flew. There were a few who whistled in awe while others inquired if they could do the same. The answer was no. Only my grandfather and I could fly. My great uncle was heard howling and I decided to help him change back so I came down and focused on him. It took a few minutes but he changed back to his human form. By extension his kind was able to do the same. I happily hugged him before I took off for a scenic view.

But as I got a few feet up one of the humanized ones grabbed on to my leg. I shot up into the air and swirled around. He lost his grip and fell forty feet. He broke both his legs and spend a few hours with healers. I on the other hand flew around the estate for a few minutes before I came back down. The one who grabbed me was warned not to do that again or he will suffer badly.

My great uncle smiled as I did martial arts moves. I saw him and accidentally slipped and injured myself. So I grabbed a blood bag to drink. One of humanized ones watched in awe as my injury healed instantly. They didn't possess that gift too. They were the species of vampires who were awed too since they themselves couldn't do that either. They wanted to know what else I can do. I just waved them off to talk to the council about the hybrid who was hiding with his girlfriend. I asked that they offer amnesty in exchange if they can prove that they are innocent. They wrote down a note and sent immediately. I was questioned by inquisitive bunch about my abilities. I chose to ignore them as they gave me the creeps.

A week later the other hybrid arrived along with a human. It turns out this human had killed innocent people and he was in jail but the vampires and werewolves wanted to punish him so they faked his death. One of the humanized ones was his friend. So he tried to defend him but I simply made a small slit in his hand and took a drop of his blood to review his memory. I blurted out, "Guilty" That was all the council needed to hear. I asked the hybrid to do the same so he did and his vampire girlfriend did. I smiled, "Innocent" This was a shock but they didn't press on since I was queen. Both of them smiled at me as I pardoned them. I explained that they were betrayed so what they did was forgiven.

There was one person who was eager to see them both. He hugged them happily and welcomed them. They were escorted to their quarters. While the humanized one wanted to know why I deemed his friend guilty. I simply said that his blood records memories of his actions. When I drink it I see his entire life. But if I know what to look for I can filter his memory until I find the one I am looking for. This came as a shock to the humanized vampires and werewolves. But I brushed it off and left. I was about to walk upstairs when one of the white haired vampire offered me her blood to see if I am telling the truth. I complied and proved my point. This was enough for the council to punish the human. The werewolves offered to kill him in the most painful manner imaginable since they had lost loved ones because his actions. The one to enforce the punish was my great uncle. He and his kind turned to wolves and ripped him up. The humanized one had to watch as his friend was given the death penalty. He wasn't happy to his friend's death. I have a bad feeling things are about to get worse for me.
