He chose the four-room house instead of the two-story house because it had a hidden basement while the two story house was too big for him. He didn't have any use for the extra space, and he doesn't want to waste money heating up the whole house.
After making his decision, he moved in that day. He didn't waste time at all.
He hired cleaners who helped him clean the house. That was the most tedious thing he had to do about moving, not the moving itself because he didn't have a lot of things to move from his dormitory.
The man that helped him get the house also wanted to help him get servants and maids, but he refused. He has never liked the concept of a stranger living with him in what is supposed to be the safest place for him.
He wanted to live alone in his house. Anyone else that comes to his place has to be a temporary guest or an enemy. So he didn't bother about the matter of maids and servants.
