The winter nights in S City arrive quite early, particularly during the days approaching New Year's Eve, as it seems that the evening air becomes especially cold.
Tiana had stayed at House Williams for a long time with Landon Brooke and only returned to Brooke Garden in the afternoon for a quick meal with Adam Brooke and Polina Powell, the old couple. There wasn't much time, and it seemed no serious conversations took place – just a few words of concern were exchanged at the dinner table.
This was just as well; Landon now no longer wanted to think about the matters concerning the Warden and Moore Family, or Xavier Brooke. Everything that needed to be resolved had been resolved; he only wanted some peace and quiet.
