To be completely honest, Jayce had no idea why he was doing what he was doing. He felt pissed and he felt that doing this would somewhat help him calm down.
Coughing awkwardly, he sat back down and went back to inspecting Ashley's stats. Looking below, he saw a progress bar named "Corruption."
'I was afraid of that,' Jayce thought, a pit forming in his stomach.
He had thought something like this would happen why he decided to form a contract with Ashley. Yet, with the situation what it was, he didn't have a choice.
It was either risk this happening or let her die right there and then.
When Jayce first got the system, he asked it numerous questions, trying to figure out what was happening. One of the questions was about his Demon Synchronization and he still remembered the system's answer to this day.
