Annabeth's POV
We have had a few close calls with the hunters of Artemis and faced monster attacks daily. Today me and Percy were battling ten hellhounds and five harpys I wasn't sure that we would make it when all of a sudden a black, I mean space black portal appeared and all of the monsters turned to dust. A man in a black cloak stepped out of the portal. The cloak looked like it held the universe in it.
"Who are you?" Percy asks the man. I almost slapped him for that.
"Percy, this man just eliminated all of those monsters in an instant and saved our lives." I chide Percy the man in the cloak chuckles
"There is no need for that Annabeth," the man says "I did appear out of nowhere. I expected for you to ask. My name is Chaos." I immediately kneeled pulling Percy with me.
"Get up I hate it when people do that." Chaos says
"Sorry my lord," I say
"And no formalities, please. It's just Chaos no lord or sir." Chaos says clearly annoyed.
"What can we do for you Chaos?" Percy asks
"I have a proposition for you both. I would like to make you two commanders of my army." Chaos says "Will you accept?" I look to see that Percy nods to me.
"Yes," Me and Percy say in unison
"Excellent. Now off we go." Chaos says
"Where are we going to Chaos?" I ask
"To Planet Soahc. The planet that is where my and my wife's, Order, Army is based. Please follow me." Chaos says me and Percy follow Chaos through the portal. It kind of tickled as we came out. We stepped onto a beach near the city and we saw the architecture. Gods the architecture [Authors note: typical Annabeth.] each pillar was gracefully spiraled up, the houses beautifully built, and the castle that Chaos was leading me and Percy to was perfectly built like the one who built it took their time and cared for what he or she was building.
"Annabeth. You okay?" Percy asks me apparently I started to fall onto him
"Yeah, I'm fine, just shocked," I respond. As we walk to the castle, I notice many people with white wings and black cloaks covering their faces. Chaos leads us to a throne room where a beautiful woman with the same skin as chaos. The only difference is that she had white eyes.
"Percy, Annabeth, this is my wife Order. Now time to give you your wings and powers. This will hurt a lot." Chaos tells Percy and me
"Chaos will give Percy his powers and wings. Annabeth I will give you yours." Order says. With that Chaos created a huge black ball of energy threw it at Percy's chest and Order threw a huge white ball of white energy at my chest. Both me and Percy scream in pain as wings sprout from our backs, bone, and muscles ripping through our skin. When the pain finally stops I look at my huge black wings. Wait, Black? I thought we were getting white wings. I look at Percy and see that he too has black wings. Percy was looking at me with the same expression I probably had on my face. We turn to see a surprised Chaos and Order.
"Why are our wings black not white?" Percy asks
"Summon fire both of you." Chaos says
"How do we do that?" I ask
"Think of the warmth in your bodies going out of your hands." Order kindly replies. We both proceed to summon black and purple flames.
"Shadow fire." Chaos murmurs
"You two shall be our heirs, and be known as the shadow king and shadow queen." Order says
"We will also like to adopt you Percy, but make Annabeth a champion so you two can still get married." Chaos says. Me and Percy just stared dumbfounded.
