One night in Amity Park, two kids play with a ball at the park. As one of the kids goes to get the ball, they hear noises coming from the booshes. A giant green and grey snake with red eyes pops out, scaring the kids. When the snake charges at them, Danny Phantom comes up from the ground and uppercuts it. The two kids smile when they see him.
"Wow, it's inviso bill!" One of the kids says.
"Oh come on, are people still calling me that? Never mind, you two get out of here, now." Danny says.
As the kids run away, Danny gets ready to fight the ghost snake. He blasts it with ecto energy beams, sending him back. The snake quickly recovers and hits him with its tail, knocking him into a tree. The ghost snake lunges at Danny, but he quickly moves out of the way. He then grabs it by the tail and throws it across the park.
"Tucker! Sam! Now!" Danny says through an ear piece.
Tucker and Sam then come out on their scutters and Sam blasts the snake with the Fenton thermos, trapping it inside.
Danny smiles and turns back to normal.
"Nice job guys. A few years ago it would have tooken us way longer to catch that Ghost."
"Well we've all changed. Especially you, Danny, you've gotten more used to your powers."
Danny smiles while blushing.
"Thanks, but I never would have gotten this far without your help."
Danny and Sam get closer together, ready to kiss, when Tucker clears his throat, snapping them out of it.
"Oh and you too, Tuck." Danny says with a guilty expression on his face.
"Yeah, yeah. I would like to reiterate that I hate being the third wheel."
Sam rolls her eyes.
"We know. It's really too bad you can't date your PDA." Sam says with a smirk.
As Danny chuckles, he quickly realizes something.
"Oh crap, I'm gonna miss my curfew."
He quickly turns into his ghost form and flies away. He then comes back and kisses Sam on the cheek.
"Sse you tomorrow at your place?" Danny says with a smile.
Sam blushes.
"Definitely."
Danny then flies away as Tucker smirks at Sam.
"Aw, you two are cute."
Sam gets annoyed and punches Tucker in the arm.
Soon, Danny makes it to his front door and changes back to normal. He slowly opens the door and quietly sneaks into the house. As Danny thinks that he's home free, the lights are turned on and he sees his parents and Jazz. Danny let's out a sigh, knowing he's in trouble.
"Oh man, I'm grounded, aren't I?" Danny says.
"Oh Danny, you're not grounded." Maddie tells him.
"I know, I know, I'm going up to my room right- wait, I'm not?"
Jack then reaches over and puts his hand on Danny's shoulder.
"Your mother and I only grounded you for missing curfew because we thought you were goofing off with Sam and Tucker. Now we know that you were fighting ghosts!"
Maddie elbows Jack in the side.
"Oh, and helping people." Jack corrects himself.
"But mostly the ghost part." He whispers to him.
"Danny, we had no idea how much responsibility you were balancing in your life. Now that we do, breaking curfew doesn't seem like a big deal." Maddie says.
She then kisses Danny on the cheek and her and Jack go up to bed. Danny is left surprised by his parents.
"Wow, didn't see that coming."
"Well that's what happens when people know what you're actually doing in your free time. You don't have to lie or make up lame excuses anymore, people know Danny Fenton and Danny Phantom are the same person now. Besides you saved the planet, I'm pretty sure you're ungroundable like, forever." Jazz tells him.
Danny smiles at his older sister.
"Now get some sleep Danny, it's late."
When Jazz leaves, Danny really grasps the fact that he doesn't have a secret identity to hide anymore. He then walks towards the stairs, but quickly changes his mind.
"I think I'll take a short cut."
He then flies up and phases through the ceiling. Jack and Maddie are then heard screaming.
"Oops, wrong room. Sorry mom, sorry dad." Danny says.
