Evening
Evelyn who was silently listening to Dylan as he narrates to her what he saw last night and told her how much it frightened him to know it could actually harm him in a way that he will never know what has happened.
She silently listened to him, worries of this strange stuff engulfing her heart.
"Have you told Lena.... About all this stuff? " she asked, hoping for a yes, pouring a glass of water for him.
For the first time in this whole year, she has actually saw him, hugged him in her arms and listen to him watching how his expression changes with each sentence he said, but with such devastating news.
"Not yet Eva, it will scare her." he paused for a moment trying to convey what he feel about this.
"Ever since the accident, either it's sudden ringing of my phone or when I go alone somewhere without informing her, Lena get too frighten. " he explained.
Evelyn suddenly remembered the accident that happened back in November.
"Does it still hurt? " she asked looking at him, checking him silent.
Dylan has always been closed to her, since his birth; her cousin that she wished to be an elder brother. She almost longed for this to happened.
But Dylan has always proven this to her, despite being younger than her, he has always taken good care of her.
Her question startled him for once but he smiled and said
"No, it doesn't. "
"You are quite brave Dylan. No one can pretend that he is well after what happened to you twice. "
Evelyn was feeling a bit different. Dylan just smiled. The one that always appears on his face in situations like this.
"Let's change the topic. " Evelyn says and put the research that she has been doing on it since Dylan first told him of all that stuff, in front of him. Dylan straighten up and read the notes prepared by her.
"Eva... That's amazing. "Dylan exclaimed in joy, when he read the research carried out by her just for him.
"I will take it back home too. " Dylan plans that make Eva laugh.
It's first time in what felt like forever that Dylan has heard most purest and rarest of her laugh. How much they; Lena and him longed for it to happen.
" You asked for it, my baby brother. Just how can I not do my best? "
Evelyn suddenly pats his hairs and he smiled at her being happy.
In his heart, Dylan prays for her smile and laughter to last forever.
They worked together on it til late in night, sharing each other thoughts and pun pointing some locations to be visited for that cave. The cave hunting that has lasted more than a month finally seems to have an end.
Before going to sleep, Dylan called her; his Lena, laying on bed of the apartment. He talked to her till Lena fell asleep, till his eyes grows heavy and sleep takeover his nerves

Somewhere in darkness was a house, just Lit up with light. It was darkness everywhere, one of that kind that not only lingers in the atmosphere but also tries to get inside you.. When the dark clouds goes a curtain, in the moon light, Dylan was not present in front of a well lited house but a shining cage. It was so familiar to him just like back of his hand. He fears going inside and coming out with a different reality. All of sudden he was inside there and it all plays once again yet he still fear it.
"Dylan Al'Xander" in the distance someone was calling out his name, that voice, hearing it in that shinning cage felt like a light in dark and the pain in voice cause him to wake up from the depths of Abyss that he was facing now.
He sit up straight and pants heavily. He searched for his phone and drink a bit of water to clam his nerves.
He find his phone below his pillow. The screen flashed with soft light and he find a notification waiting for him; a reminder from his girl to read voice note. Dylan lays down again and click at voice note to be played.
It did run a chill down his spine at it, he felt the voice note was directed to situations like this. He hear it once again but when ever Lena's voice speak his name "Dylan" with love and adoration fills his heart with love for her. His gaze grew softer bit by bit.her voice soothes his high alert nerves.
Even a hundred miles away from him, his girl surely knows how to handle his over heated nerves. Dylan smiles uncontrollably as he hears it thrice.
he relaxes a bit but sleep was long gone from his eyes. He stay there for a while than decides to do some thing productive. He didn't forget to send a thank you note to her.
