"I just kept crying, kept crying, until deep into the night when I heard a knock on the door. I went to open it, and amazingly the teacher was back. I was so happy; she said she had been dragged far by the tiger, but she managed to pull out her dagger and stabbed it in the tiger's eye, and the tiger ran away. The teacher was truly incredible. I hugged her tightly, but she was covered in blood, with a terrible wound on her shoulder. I helped the teacher bathe, cleaned her wound, and applied medicine and bandages, then let her rest on the bed.
I thought the teacher could recover, after all, she's so formidable, she could drive away a Bengal tiger with just a dagger without even having a shotgun.
But in the following days, the teacher started to have a high fever."
