Chapter 12 - Master?

After talking for a while, they set a date to meet again and fixed the misunderstanding with his teacher.

She told her friend to escort me home and left. Her friend explained on the way that I was working for a couple of years as a servant, attendant at a witch's home.

"A witch!?"

"Yes"

"Oh, you probably don't know what a witch is?"

"(Well, I kinda know.. )aren't they those fairytale people persecuted, saying they used magic to curse people and do weird stuff"

"Well, that's an old description you remember there, true, women were persecuted in those times but the thing is there were true witches among them, Long ago witches lived among humans helping each other there was mana even. Before the invasion, it just slowly decreased and eventually dossàpeared, with the decline of mana in the atmosphere, mages became non-existent.

but witches retained a spark of their gift small stuff really they could use some rituals curses and those strange pacts they strangely made with black cats weird tradition, theres some superstition about black cats coming from hell and them being demonic theres fairytale about that (demon name or something) having come to earth he took the form of a cat while being summoned for a ritual but got stuck so all his subordinates in a show of camaderie they also took on the forms of black cats, the pact increased a witches power, over the years most of them forgot or dismissed their leinage but there were still some who maintaiñed it and when the apocalipse came they delayed the attack until the hunters awakened and started fighting back.

He looked around the streets and the closer they came to their destination the fewer houses there were and less people around. They were in an isolated part of the city, most people living around here had something to do with the academy: students, teachers, officials and their families. There were a lot of businesses around too, some big guys also lived around because of the securenes, paying a hefty fee to live here.

"Oh, we're already here. I'll end the explanation here. You can read this later or ask Ren about it at your next meeting. Just ring the bell there with that metal stick and wait for a while. Some witches are really old-fashioned. I took the metal stick engraved with crow ornaments. I hesitated for a second, then lightly tapped the bell, but there was no light sound.

A strenuous ringing resounded throughout the entire street.

Passersby looked disdainful

"fix the damn bell headmaster"

"Headmaster?"

"Yes indeed, she's the academy's founder, although retired she's still called headmaster. Catch you later, don't wanna be here once she comes out."

And so she dipped, leaving him behind disappearing down the street, running like no tomorrow.

Still looking at the street she disappeared into. I heard loud rushing footsteps and then the door swung open.

black hair as darkness ever consuming, bright red eyes deep as the twilight her skin smooth as porcelain a wide bright smile on her face

"Welcome home!!!"

"uhm....hello?"

She rushed towards me and embraced me in a warm hug

"Im glad your okay I was so worried never do something like that again, ok? Promise me"
