The stench of the dungeon was a bit overwhelming especially after having a big breakfast.But I gritted my teeth and swallowed down the urge to throw up everything I had just eaten as I led Damien and Skyler to the cell I put Brandy in last night.
When the cell came into view I could see Brandy laying on the cot in her wolf form. A small golden patchy creature that's not impressive in any way. She had removed her clothes before shifting and folded them neatly on the end of the cot. Even in her wolf form I could tell she looked overwhelmed and disgusted by her surroundings.But I couldn't bring myself to feel bad for her because she's the one who put herself in this situation in the first place.
So I steeped up to the bars and bellowed "Shift" Using an Alpha command something I've never done before .
Brandy's wolf whimpered and within in a few seconds Brandy was back in her human form naked and wide- eyed. I guess she was a bit confused because her body reacted to my command with out her own minds consent for the shift. At least she didn't fight the shift, I've heard fighting an Alpha command can be painful as hell.
But I didn't let her dwell on it before I issued another command. "Put your clothes on." I commanded, gesturing towards the end of the cot.
It's not like Brandy's body is offensive or anything,actually she's a very pretty girl.But the reason I issued the command is because I wouldn't put it past her to try to seduce Damien. Even though he reeks of Addie's scent this morning. A clear sign that they have completed the mate bond and there's no chance in hell of him being attracted to Brandy in anyway.
But you never know what goes on in that crazy head of her's. So I was relieved when without a word of protest she scampered to the end of the cot and started to hastily dress. A far cry from the provocative sensual way she usually dressed when she wanted more dick.
" Come closer " I commanded, and immediately she scurried towards us and dropped her head rolling her shoulders forward.
" Now Brandy, Damien has a few questions to ask you before he decides how to punish you for barging into his room last night." I informed her , without using my Alpha tone.
She whimpered and nodded keeping her head bowed and eyes cast on the ground.
Damien sighed and glanced over at me for a second obviously uncomfortable with punishing someone in another Alpha's pack. When I nodded and stepped back for him to go ahead. He spoke calmly keeping a stoic expression on his face ."I'm not a rash man who enjoys dishing out punishment for minor offenses and bargaining into a room unannounced isn't a big deal. But you seem to have some type of malice towards either me our my mate. And that's something I can't let go without dealing with. So why don't you tell me exactly what the problem is. And then perhaps we can see how to solve this diplomatically."
After a few seconds Damien sighed again running his hands through his hair in frustration when Brandy didn't offer an explanation. Then raised his voice "Go ahead and speak. " He said more forcefully on the verge of using an Alpha command himself .
"I... I was really Ju..just trying to help you. I . I.. I.. I..thought a handsome Alpha like yourself should know..know that Addie is..is barren before you mark her and end your Alpha bloodline. When you could easily reject her, she's to young . And ..you can choose..choose a mate that can give you healthy children." Brandy stuttered out clinching her hands into fist at her side with the scent of jealousy and anger wafting off of her in waves.
And I'm absolutely sure Damien could smell it the same as I could even over the stench of the dungeon. Because he glared at Brandy and shook his head with a little huffing laugh.
" So you say that all you wanted to do is help me see that my fated mate isn't the person I should be with because she has a medical condition that might make it harder for us to have children.Is that correct? Damien ask a lot calmer then I expect for him to do.
" Well..yes..she can't give you children and you need a hire."Brandy stuttered nervously her eyes shifting from Skyler back to Damien.
And I'm absolutely sure she was more afraid of Skyler than Damien at the moment. Even though Skyler was leaning against the wall fucking with his phone seemly uninterested in their conversation. But she's well aware of how protective he is of Addie. And she also knows first hand how cruel and sadistic my Beta is. He's definitely the proverbial wolf in sheep's clothing or in his case a wolf in an Armani suit.
But Damien scoffed"Well since you live in this pack and seem to have the freedom to roam through the pack house freely. I'll let you in on a little secret, I really don't care if my fated mate can give me offspring. I would however consider myself blessed if the moon goddess decided to make that happen. But as far as my bloodline continuing and having an Alpha hire for my pack. It's not necessary for me to have a child with Addison. I already have a son who is very capable of taking over as Alpha when I retire. He has a strong almost pure Alpha bloodline and a wonderful mother who takes very good care of him and other than my own father. I have the assurance of two of the strongest and most honorable men I have ever known to help me guide him in the direction he should go. So he has already been named as the next Alpha of my pack. And as far as having a chosen mate, I decided against that almost three years ago. My son's mother and I had considered that possibility and I assure you she lacks nothing as far as beauty, strength, or bloodline . But we were both advised against it from the elders in both our packs. And neither one of us regret that decision actually we are thankful for the wisdom of the elders for advising us both to wait for our fated mate. And we are even more thankful for the blessings of the moon goddess that has provided us both with strong capable mates almost on the same day. Now if you have any other concerns about my well-being. I would definitely like to hear them before I decide what punishment is appropriate for someone like you." Damien preached, laying everything out in the open then pausing to give Brandy a chance to speak.
And as usual Brandy stood speechless for a moment gawking at Damien only to stutter out.
" Yo..you have a son?"
" Yes" Damien confirmed.
Then suddenly I think she lost her damn mind completely because she mumbled something I didn't quite catch about" an almost pure Alpha bloodline" and started laughing historically pointing a finger at me. Mumbling under her breath about "taking the little sister, because the big sister was a used item."
Damien and I both stared at her crazy ass but not actually understanding all the haft crazed low babbling coming out of her mouth between the bouts of manic laughter.
Then like a flash Skyler stepped between us and shouted. "ENOUGH" loud enough to wake the dead and make Brandy flinch and stumble backwards.
Immediately I scented Skyler for that rush of adrenaline and the raw animalistic scent that courses through his system when he's truly a danger to be around. Ready to drag him out of the dungeon before he could rip Brandy's throat out of needed .It's an unmistakable scent ,wild, and feral and easy to recognize.
However it wasn't there,he's fucking with her head.So I stepped back nodding for Damien to do the same.
Then without warring Skyler reached through the bars and grabbed Brandy's collar yanking her face into bars and stirred into her eyes. "Listening to me you crazy bitch. " Skyler growled his skin rippling towards a shift and his wolf eyes flashing the dangerous predator he is." Abigail Hunt is not the mother of Damien's son's . His mother is my fated mate Chloe Hunt and Andie is Zack's true fated mate. Your Luna, not some second choice girl picked for a fucking bloodline.So whatever delusional fantasy you have to snag yourself an Alpha by trying to belittle their mate you better take it somewhere else. I'm only warring you this one time. If I ever hear you say or I even hear someone else say you have been running your fucking mouth about my sister, my Luna, or my mate. I'll eat your fucking ass alive and shit you out like last nights steak ." Skyler growled again shoving a trembling Brandy across the cell to land with a hard tump on her ass.
He then stepped back glanced over at Damien and smirked " She's all yours."
I rubbed my hand over my face. " Go get our other guest and bring him to the integration room."I ordered, the fucker grinned and strolled off down the corridor like he was talking an afternoon walk in the park.
I then turned towards Damien. " Well,what's it going to be?"I ask.-
Damien glanced over at Brandy for a second.I'm sure he was taking note of the expensive designer clothes she was wearing. Then he ask "Who is she, can she be banned from the pack house?"
I smirked, glancing over at Brandy's scrunched frowning face. She definitely didn't look happy about leaving the luxurious life style that living in the pack house provides.
All high ranking members of my pack and their family receive free maid service, the use of all the facilities,and a professional cook at their beck and call to entertain their friends anytime they want no questions ask. The elders don't even have those perks, not even my grandparents.Of course all the Elders have more money than god and can afford maids and cooks if they choose to have them. The elders themselves were the ones who actually made that provision in the pack laws to put more money into our school system.
" She's my dad's gamma's daughter and I can definitely ban her from the pack house." I reassured Damien
" No..no.. I live there." Brandy protested scowling at me with wild crazy eyes.
But I ignored her and continued speaking to Damien. "She has grandparents she can live with or I can stick her in an efficiency apartment where the single Omega's live after leaving there parents house."
."So" Damien drawled thoughtfully "Her grandparents live out there in that posh neighborhood with your grandparents and Skyler's grandparents?" He ask
" Yes, they do." I answered honestly.
" Well it's obvious that she doesn't know how to conduct herself around high ranking visitors. So I don't believe it would be wise to place her in a neighborhood where she could offend Elders from other packs that might visit your Elders.That could possibly be disastrous most of us younger Alpha's are more relaxed with protocol" than he shook his head and let out a low whistle . " But thoes fucking elders their a tough bunch. Let's keep her in apartments with the Omega's. " Damien concluded just as a commotion was heard from down the hallway mixed with Brandy's wailing protest of losing her posh lifestyle.
" You can't do this, how will I get food" Brandy wailed
"Get a job, they need help in the warriors dining hall. You'll get paid and all the people who work there take home leftovers."I replied keeping my eyes on Skyler as he pushed the scumbag kidnapper up the hallway towards us.
