A face she never thought she would see again. Eloise recognised him even though he changed.
The man looked different from 8 years ago.
His aura had changed from the nerd looking boy to the dangerous man he looked to Eloise at the moment.
He wore a black shirt with rolled up sleeves and black pants. His hair was slightly messy. He was, well, different from the others. He had an appearance which could make stand out in a crowd. The way he carried himself was something else which had girls swooning over him. He was tall, around 190cm and had long legs.
Unlike his name Lucas, which meant light, he had a cold and dark expression on his face. The man behind him was sweating because because of his boss's dark aura, indirectly showing people how dangerous he was.
Eloise prayed that she was wrong. She did not want to be seen by him. She prayed that her eyes were playing trick on her. She strode to the elevator, next to the man.
The elevator dinged and the doors opened. The man did not even bother to look at her. Lucas or rather the man, got on the elevator, accompanied by the timid man behind him.
Eloise was seriously hoping that her guess was wrong. When she got on the elevator, Eloise and the man made eye contact. His black eyes tinged with surprise and shock before disappearing without a trace. They looked at each for a few seconds.
When Eloise saw his eyes, she was sure. She was sure that this man was Lucas. She quickly averted her eyes down. She wanted to dig up a hole and hide but again she remembered that she changed. She turned her back to him and pressed the ground floor.
Eight years passed after all. Eight years ago, Eloise was fat. She was short. She had freckles and acne all over her face. Unlike her sister, she was ugly but now Eloise looked different.
Eloise grew up in height, lost weight and her face now was pure like a jade. She used to be 163cm in height but she is now 170cm. Her body is perfect. She had curves at the right places.
While Eloise was thinking of hiding, Lucas had been staring at her the whole time. When he made eye contact with her, he was first surprised and shocked. Then unexplainable emotions flashed through his eyes. She looked familiar. He was sure he saw her somewhere.
Strangely, she looked like the woman, who had a special spot in his heart. The woman he had been searching for the past eight years.
He was anticipating to ask her name and see the face she was hiding behind the windbreaker. He was about to talk to her when the elevator dinged and stopped. The doors slowly opened. Eloise got off hurriedly. She wanted to escape and walked a few steps to the lobby when she heard a voice behind her. A deep raspy voice stopped her.
"Can i have a moment to talk?" Lucas's voice was heard. Eloise turned around subconsciously. It was too late when she realized her mistake. She was now praying he would not recognize her. Unfortunately he did.
"Ellie?" he said in a pained voice. Before she knew it, she was clinched in his arms pressed to his chest. His hold was tight. He buried his head in her neck as he sniffed her natural scent.
Eloise was taken aback by his actions. He was acting like a lover who reunited with his love again after many years.
Of course, Eloise had no plans to reveal herself to him. She felt guilty. She did not want to be seen by him. Not after she lost their child.
