Chapter 587 - Incomplete

"Hey, I'm home." Dom said as he walked into his office which Lulu was in for some odd reason.

"Hey." she replied smiling.

"Where's Alfred?" Dom asked.

"He's in the living room, Doctor Henry is checking to make sure everything is alright." she replied.

"Ahh, I see, so that's why you're in here." he said.

"Yep, I needed a nice quiet place to work on my tasks." she replied.

"I see, well what's for dinner since Alfred is out for the count?" Dom asked, he was starving, he had not had time to come home for lunch.

"Well, there's nothing for dinner, except ice cream." she replied.

"Why not?" he asked.

"Because Natasha made fried rice for lunch and it's so delicious that I'm going to eat it again for dinner." Lulu said as Dom gasped.

"Natasha made lunch?" he asked surprised as she nodded.

"And it was her star fried rice dish?" he asked again as she nodded.

"Lulu! Why didn't you tell me?" Dom asked.

"Why would I tell you?" she replied confused.

"What do you mean why would you tell me? You had the time to text me that Alfred got hurt and wants to go to grandfather's and yet you didn't even think it would be nice to chip in the fact that Natasha made lunch?" he asked.

"There was no time." she replied lazily.

"What do you mean no time? That's a lie, you literally proceeded to send me some nonsense emojis after you told me." he said bringing out his phone and showing her the proof to which she giggled.

"It skipped my mind." she replied.

"No it didn't, food rarely skips your mind, you purposely didn't tell me." he accused.

"Even if that is the case, which it isn't, what would you have done had I told you that she made lunch?" she asked.

"Well for one, I would have made out some time to come home for lunch, I'm starving." he said.

"Then why didn't you order takeout?" she asked.

"Why would I order takeout? Besides, you know that Natasha's food is better than takeout." he said.

"It's not often that she cooks, but when she does, it's simply divine, no wonder you look so happy, you ate well, you better stay away from the kitchen because I'm going to go eat what belongs to me." he warned.

Lulu laughed at him, did he know how ridiculous he looked getting worked up all because of food?

"Oh please, you're acting like Natasha would even want you to eat her food." she replied.

"For your information, we are in a better place right now, so yes, I am sure I can eat her lovely fried rice, mhmm, my mouth just waters thinking about the taste, it's been years since I've ate her best dish." he said groaning.

"Look at you sounding like your life will be incomplete if you don't eat her fried rice." she said.

"Oh it will be Lulu, it will be." he replied.

"Well, you can't stop me from eating more." she said.

"You're right, what am I even still doing here talking to someone who is already full, I better go and get myself some delicious fried rice." he said, as he was about to step out of his office in the direction of the kitchen, he heard Doctor Henry call out to him.

"Dominic, it's so nice to see you." the old doctor said.

"Oh, Doctor Henry, I should be the one saying that, how is the family?" Dom asked smiling as he turned to him.

"They are doing well, I saw Joy earlier and my, my is she growing by the day." he laughed.

"That she is." Dom laughed.

"So, how is Alfred?" he asked.

"Well, luckily for him, he just had a sprain not a dislocation. It's perfectly normal at that age to sprain your ligaments or strain your muscles, the problem was he should not have ignored that constant pain he was feeling, he might need to come to the hospital for further checks just so we can be sure the pain in his lower back is nothing serious." Dom nodded as he spoke.

"But apart from that, he is perfectly alright, the pain has gone down now and so has the swelling. He just needs to relax and take it easy, he should not carry heavy objects or strain himself. A heating pad can help reduce the pain, I have also prescribed him some pain relievers."

"Don't worry doc, we'll make sure he obeys all your rules." Dom said.

"Thank you, it was nice seeing you again Dominic." Doctor Henry smiled.

"Same here doc, let me walk you out." he said as they both laughed as they conversed.

Dom walked back into the house with a smile on his face, now to go and eat the fried rice he didn't know he wanted to have so bad.

But before he could even think twice about that, he heard Alfred call out to him.

"Oh, young master, you are back, welcome." Alfred said standing on his two feet, he felt well enough to walk, being confined to one space for almost the entire day was really tiring.

"Oh thank you Alfred, how do you feel?" Dom asked giving him a gentle pat on the back.

"I feel better than when I first hurt my back." he chuckled.

"That's good, but you know you should have known better than to hide the fact you were feeling some strange pains." Dom said.

"Yes, I know, and I will never hide that again." he replied.

"Oh I'm sure grandfather is going to crack up when he hears of what you did." Lulu said walking into the living room.

"That is true, speaking of which, Lulu said you would take me to the master's house." Alfred said.

"Yes, I will, just give me some time to..." Dom said as Lulu cut him off.

"Yes, he's going to take you right now." Lulu said.

"Wonderful, I will just go pack my bags then." Alfred said walking out of the living room.

"There's no way I'm going now, I want to eat first, that's going to be at least a two hour drive going and coming back." he said.

"No, you should drop him off now before it's too late. You know how you hate driving at night, so leave now while it's still bright out." she said smiling sweetly.

"Stop pretending like you actually care about that, you just want me out of the house so you can eat all the fried rice!" he accused.

"Oh, how sad, my own brother thinks the worst of me." she pretended to be offended.

"Stop with your act, you're not fooling anyone, I'm going to eat first." Dom said.

"Don't you dare move or I'll report you to higher powers." she said.

"Oh really? And who exactly is that higher power?" he scoffed as Lulu smiled mishceviously.

"Natasha, oh dear sister in law of mine, Dom doesn't want to go drop Alfred off because he wants to be selfish and eat first." she instantly shouted, lucky for her, Natasha had just walked downstairs.

"Why?" she asked walking into the living room.

"Natasha, don't mind Lulu, she just wants to make sure I'm out of the house so she can eat the rest of the fried rice you made." Dom said.

"Is that true Lulu?" Natasha asked.

"You know Natasha, the correct question to be asking is why a grown man is fighting with his sister over some fried rice." Lulu replied.

"You know why, Natasha's fried rice is the best! And you just want to have it all for yourself." he accused. On a normal day, Natasha would be sick of the White siblings and their nonsensical bickering, however, today, they were bickering about her food, and it made her feel kind of special.

"Aha, you hear that Natasha." Lulu laughed, she just wanted to get Dom to admit it in front of her.

"I don't care, Natasha, it's the truth, you rarely cook, but you know that hands down, you are the best cook in this house, no offence to Alfred or the other maids." he said.

Natasha had to stop herself from laughing, this had to be the most confusing yet sweet thing he had said to her.

"Well, it doesn't matter, Lulu's right, the sooner you drive Alfred over there, the better." she said as she heard him sigh.

"Alright fine, if you say so." he said bowing his head in defeat.

He glanced at Lulu who stuck out her tongue at him and he just shook his head, sometimes, he wondered why he adored her so much.

"And you, stop trying to cause trouble Lulu." Natasha turned to Lulu.

"What? Little old me? I could never hurt a fly." she said batting her eyelashes.

"Yeah right, I know you, stop troubling your brother." she said as Dom smiled, at least she was defending him, even though it was from his own sister, it didn't matter.

"Oh alright, I'm sorry Natasha." Lulu said, she had already gotten what she wanted, which was Dom leaving, she was really happy about that.
