Chapter 283 - 279) Merry Christmas

The girls of the Fief woke up early that day, despite having gone to bed late after the New Year's Eve dinner. The rooms were shared, but comfortable enough that there was no need to compare them to the dormitories at school.

It only took one of them to wake up for the others to follow, driven by the excitement of the day. In this case, it was Lavender, who had barely slept due to her excitement over the gift that awaited them. The moment she opened her eyes, she didn't stop waking up her roommates so they could go find me and receive their presents. Although, well… in her mind, the only thing she could imagine was being chained up alongside all her friends while I, naked, went to each one of them…

The girls got up one by one, some with more effort than others, but the promise of gifts was enough incentive for all of them to make the small sacrifice of leaving the warmth of their beds on a freezing morning.

When they stepped out of their rooms and reached the main area of the hideout, their eyes lit up upon seeing the enormous tree that had been placed there, surrounded by small mountains of gifts. They got excited, though not as much as when they saw me appear with several cups of hot chocolate and a tray full of snacks.

They immediately approached, grabbing a cup and nibbling on something as we wished each other a Merry Christmas. Between sips, they bombarded me with questions about the special surprise I had prepared.

"Relax," I told them, amused. "Have breakfast first. Once you finish opening the other presents, I'll give you mine."

Not all of them were pleased with the answer. The anticipation I had planted the night before left them impatient, but they had no choice but to wait.

It was a peaceful time: we drank chocolate, ate the pastries I had baked, opened gifts, and shared laughs. It was a beautiful sight, one I hoped to repeat in the future, because their smiles nourished my soul.

Nearly an hour passed until all the presents had been opened, shown off, and some even tested. But the impatience was palpable, so without further delay, they stood before me to demand their gift. I considered teasing them a little longer, but I refrained for my own safety.

I asked them to follow me to an open space, and before continuing, I made sure the hideout's door was securely closed. This action made some of them nervous, but they trusted me enough not to protest.

I arranged them in a circle and, calmly, began distributing identical potion vials to each of them. As they received them, they all displayed expressions of confusion and intrigue.

"This is your gift," I announced once everyone had a vial in their hands.

"A potion?" Cho asked, eyeing it suspiciously before bringing it to her nose, trying to decipher its contents.

"Is it Felix Felicis? No… it's different," Daphne murmured, inspecting it carefully.

"A beauty potion?" Parvati guessed.

"It's a love potion so strong it could kill us," Lavender declared with absolute certainty, earning horrified looks from her companions.

I simply smiled in silence as the girls continued throwing out theories. None of them dared to taste the potion right away, especially after someone suggested it might be dangerous. The doubts kept growing until, finally, their patience ran out.

"Just tell us, Red. What is this potion? Is this our gift?" Tracey demanded, crossing her arms.

"Alright," I finally relented, scanning the more cautious ones who still hesitated. "It's a very special potion, and you all need to drink it right now."

Some of them frowned, but before they could protest, I added firmly:

"It's not poison or anything like that, trust me. You won't regret it. Now, drink it. All in one go, it'll be easier that way."

The girls hesitated for a moment until they saw Lavender bring the potion to her lips as if she were about to swallow it along with the bottle. Seeing her, they all followed suit without thinking too much. To their relief, it didn't taste unpleasant like other potions, so no one had trouble drinking it.

Soon, they had all finished their doses, but something was already happening to those who had drunk it first. Within seconds, they dropped their vials with astonished expressions, hugging themselves as if a shiver ran through their entire bodies. The initial unease quickly spread as the rest started experiencing the same sensation. Their hearts pounded with double beats, and an intense tingling coursed through every fiber of their being.

It felt like an eternity, though in reality, it lasted only moments. Suddenly, in the blink of an eye, their human forms vanished. The sounds of alarm were replaced by a symphony of animal noises.

When the sensation passed, they were all in shock—not just from the change in their own bodies, but from the sight before them: the circle of girls had been replaced by a small zoo of bewildered animals, all making noises in a failed attempt to speak.

It was a hilarious scene to witness. They stared at each other in disbelief, then examined their own bodies, and in the end, they all turned their eyes to me. Some instinctively tried to move and ended up stumbling clumsily, while others struggled with coordination. However, little by little, they adjusted to their new forms.

"Just think about turning back into humans," I suggested with a smile, amused by the situation. Meanwhile, an invisible clone recorded everything with a magical camera.

One by one, they began to regain their human appearances, relieving the tension of the moment. However, now their gazes were filled with concern, curiosity, and, in some cases, annoyance.

"Red! What was that?" Hermione exclaimed, still stunned by the feeling of the transformation.

"Think about transforming back," I replied, approaching her.

Hermione hesitated, but curiosity got the better of her. Unintentionally, her body reacted instinctively, and in an instant, she became a small mammal. Before she could process what had happened, I grabbed her with both hands and lifted her, rubbing my face against her soft furry belly.

*Desperate otter sounds.*

Hermione immediately reverted to her human form, her face flushed with embarrassment and a furious look directed at me. I just looked at her with some pity, but not because she had transformed back, but because her animal form was... an otter. I had thought, since she still had cat-like features, that her animagus form would change and resemble a feline, but I was clearly wrong.

"Red... is this... animagus...?" Daphne asked, still confused, looking at her hands and then at the other girls, who, after seeing Hermione, also began to test their new abilities.

"Yes," I confirmed with a smile, extending my arms. "Congratulations to all of you! You are now animagus."

"What?!/*Excited animal sounds!*" they all exclaimed in unison.

"Are we animagus!?" Cho repeated, incredulously.

"Yes," I reaffirmed.

"How long does the potion last?" asked Tracey, excited by all the possibilities opening up to her.

"It's permanent," I replied.

"WHAT?!/*Even more excited animal sounds!*"

"I'm telling you, now you are all true animagus," I tried to explain, although the general commotion didn't allow me to continue.

"But how!? Why!? This isn't supposed to...?" Hermione started firing off questions without finishing them.

"You must be lying, Red. It's impossible to become an animagus just like that," Tracey said, laughing nervously.

"Yes, becoming an animagus takes a lot of work, time, and knowledge about transformation..." Padma added, frowning.

"Yes... but not for me," I replied with a mocking smile. "I just need an impossible-to-get potion, worth an unimaginable amount, and... boom, animagus forever."

"No... way...!" Tracey screamed, setting aside her doubts in excitement and immediately transforming into her animal form.

The other girls were also in disbelief. Many were changing back and forth between their human and animal forms, trying to process the reality of my words or, at least, wanting to believe them. After all, becoming an animagus was an extremely difficult process that required years of practice and preparation. The fact that they had all achieved it at their age with just a potion seemed almost impossible to accept.

"Red! How did you do it?" Hermione asked, still in shock as she watched the others try out their animal forms. After the first transformation class with Professor McGonagall, she had researched animagi and knew how complex the process was. "How did you create this potion?! This is a revolutionary invention!" she exclaimed, unable to contain her amazement.

"I didn't make the potion," I clarified calmly, capturing everyone's full attention. "Yes, they're mine, and no one but me will be able to obtain them, but I'm not the one who created them. There's no recipe to follow, they can't be replicated or spread. And anyway, the cost is something no one could afford."

"They must have an incalculable price," Daphne commented, immediately grasping the magnitude of such a potion, though she still wondered how I had obtained so many. "This is the first time I've heard of something like this."

"Because until recently, they weren't available. Well, actually, a few months ago... but they were so expensive that not even I dared to buy them in large quantities like I did now. I got a good discount and spent all my savings to get them. Their price was only a fifth of what they cost before," I replied with a sigh, as if I could still feel the weight of the expense.

"I can pay you my share," Tracey said with conviction. Other girls from wealthy families seemed to want to do the same.

"It doesn't matter, you couldn't do it anyway." (Red)

"My family has plenty of money..." Tracey insisted.

"No, you really can't pay me," I stopped her. "You can't buy them with galleons. You need a special coin that only a few can obtain. No matter how many galleons you have, you can't exchange them for that coin. Even if the exchange rate was a million galleons for one, it would still be impossible. That's why I say their value is unreachable: without that special coin, even the richest person in the world couldn't get a single one."

And... how did you get that coin?" asked Hannah cautiously.

"I'm not allowed to say," I replied with apparent reluctance, though I knew exactly what effect I was achieving: stirring their curiosity.

The girls seemed a little uncomfortable with my answer. Some didn't fully understand the situation, but their minds had already formed images of me risking my life or making extreme sacrifices to obtain such a gift. Now, none of them seemed completely comfortable accepting something so valuable, especially when their own gifts to me couldn't compare. Although, of course, not all of them thought the same way.

Penelope, who knew some of my secrets, didn't seem surprised. Hermione and Pansy, on the other hand, kept repeating in their minds that they had to work harder to be better girlfriends to make up for the sacrifices I made for them. Though, at the same time, they couldn't help but feel a little annoyed that I had spent so much on everyone instead of giving them something special just for them.

Daphne, on the other hand, felt a strange sense of relief. The decision she had made regarding me had been the right one, and giving herself completely to my will hadn't been a mistake. She knew how absurd this potion was and understood its true value. Just this gift alone partly justified her loyalty, and she couldn't help but wonder what other wonders it might bring her in the future, not just for her, but also for her sister.

Finally, there was Lavender... who, far from feeling guilty or reflecting on the situation like the others, was only thinking about how to get on top of me so I could fuck her in front of everyone before moving on to the others.
