The remaining three Mer Cardinals united to battle Xenon, putting all their magic together to create furious water whirls that suppressed Xenon's flames. The storm at this point had become deafening, the winds so strong, the roof of the inn had been blown off some time ago and half the inn had been set on fire by lightning bolts, and later doused by the raging storm.
There was not much left in the inn standing but the walls and the battle had only been a few minutes. The Mer Cardinals had an advantage due to the storm, making an abundant water supply for their water based magic manipulation, they had carefully calculated this attack and like Xenon had said, they were not easy opponents.
Dante was not having better luck, as the storm grew stronger, a layer of water had formed over the wooden floor of the inn, making it unavoidable for them all to be standing right in water. The Mer Cardinal Dante battled had used this to his advantage, icing up the water to restrain Dante.
