Amon killed Kui Chong because he knew Amon was a demon cultivator. With the Dark God slaying everyone from the black-cloaked mob, the only remaining loose end was Kui Chong.
After taking care of that loose end, Amon was ready to leave the town. However, he didn't leave immediately. He stayed at the edge of Melas Twitch, waiting. It was the morning of the next day before he was visited.
"Are you waiting for me?"
Amon turned to the voice. Xin Lie and Li Jing were there.
"Did you plan all this?" Amon asked Xin Lie.
"Since I'm the one who call you to take this mission, I guess it is normal for you to think that way," Xin Lie answered.
"Are you denying it?"
"Not really. Well, if you truly need closure, I will admit. Yes, the incident here happened because of me."
"Why?" Amon asked.
"So that you can meet him," Xin Lie answered.
"Him…? Do you mean the Dark God?"
