"Unknowingly, the creation that the Great Spirit had made had mixed with the energy of the world. And so the world gained a way to interact with the Spirit."
Lucas paused as he realized the story that Fiora was reciting differed from the story he had been told as a child. A frown crossed his face, and he focused on the next words more seriously.
"The Great Spirit and the new entity conversed and spent much time together. It was as if they were made for each other instead of the new entity being born of the Great Spirit.
Soon they became so close that a change came over the new entity. After a time of great illness, the Great Spirit took care of its new companion and created a cloak of the finest materials in order to keep it warm.
The entity accepted the gift graciously and soon many spirits were born into the world. Since they were born of the world and the power of the Great Spirit they helped take care of the world and thus became the spirits of the world.
