Russell was curled up motionless inside the cup.
"Awake yet?"
Cui Que, dressed in pajamas, pushed open the bedroom door and placed a tray full of food on the table beside the bed.
Then, she drew the curtains open. Splendid sunlight poured in, causing Russell to squint and slowly turn away, snuggling into another corner far from the sunlight.
Cui Que walked over, leaned on the bed, and checked whether Russell was awake.
"Time to eat..."
She whispered softly into Russell's ear.
The overly ticklish whisper made Russell's ears suddenly twitch.
Wrapped in the blanket, his tail irritably slapped, and he shrank further under the covers.
"Hmm..."
Russell made a lazy nasal sound and murmured unclearly, "I know, yeah..."
"You definitely didn't just sleep a bit last night."
Cui Que sighed helplessly. "Don't stay up late online, isn't it the same playing during the day?"
