Aleks found Fedlimid in a quiet corner of the mansion, in his room, away from Beli's endless dialogues.
Fedlimid looked up at Aleks as he approached, his deep black eyes narrowing with suspicion. "What do you want?" He asked, his tone curt.
Aleks didn't hesitate, stepping into the room with purpose. "We need to talk. It's about the power. The mageroots."
Fedlimid's expression shifted, a frown forming on his face. "Power?" He repeated, his voice heavy with disbelief. "I'm not sure what it is about then."
"Simple..." Aleks said, his voice low but firm. "I'm the weakest one in the group. I've seen it, Fedlimid. Arthur, Melite, an above all, you. You're all getting stronger. I'm falling behind. Being a mage isn't enough anymore. Not with what we're facing."
Fedlimid pushed off the wall, his body language rigid. "You've got to be kidding. You're not weak, Aleks. You've always been a part of this group, quite the mentor actually. You've never needed to change anything."
