"Hmm…" Noel squinted his eyes, examining the black box. "I can't open it."
"Is this the box that is said to be the clue to becoming a spirit king?" Anna asked.
"Yes." Noel crossed his arms. "There's nothing I can think of right now. I have tried infusing my spiritual energy inside or even my transcendent path, but I haven't found a single clue."
"I see." Anna grabbed the box, trying it herself. Even though her energy wasn't enough to become a spirit king, acquiring the king path should still be possible. Hence, she tried to see if she could notice something.
Unfortunately, both of them couldn't feel a single thing. Even the original Anna, who was inside the sword, didn't feel a single trace.
"Is the box still functioning?" Anna asked.
"Yes. Ardagan confirmed it. However, he didn't want to say anything else." Noel sighed. "I guess I have to find another way, maybe exploring something I'm not aware of."
