Nathan was standing beside Jane's sick bed. He held her hand tightly. He still couldn't believe that he survived the deadly poison. He felt so lucky.
However, his heart wasn't at ease since Jane was in a coma.
Nathan leaned in, whispering something in her ear, "How long are you going to stay sleeping here? What is the purpose of living without you?"
Nathan gently caressed her face before planting a soft kiss on her forehead.
"Dad?" Ethan's voice was heard from behind. He slowly approached his father, his hand holding his laptop.
"Ethan, come here," Nathan called him out, signaling him to come closer.
"Why are you holding that laptop?" he asked the young boy with puzzlement. "Aren't you here to visit your mom?"
Ethan gazed at Jane with a solemn expression on his face. He didn't know why his mother remained unconscious. He expected her to wake up yesterday.
