Well, I honestly didn't know that before.
I thought it was just a made-up plot from TV dramas.
Turns out, it's actually a real saying.
The middle-aged man even directly stuffed the wooden box into Lu Jing's hands:
"Take it."
Lu Jing was stunned for a moment, then wanted to ask how much it cost.
Who knew, the middle-aged man spoke up:
"If you give me money, that means you don't acknowledge me as your uncle!"
Hiss.
"Uncle, this..."
Is that okay?
Who just walks into someone's shop and takes something without paying for it?
Besides, this item is meant to be a gift.
But, obviously, the middle-aged man had no intention of taking money:

"Uncle!"
"Wait, there's this too."
Then the middle-aged man took something out of his pocket and again forcefully handed it over:
"This is your real welcome gift."
