Kirigakure, Mizukage Building.
Terumi Mei moved swiftly through the shadows, leading a group of Mist Shinobi. These were the rebels of Kirigakure—those who opposed the Fourth Mizukage, Yagura. Today, they were launching a coup to overthrow his rule.
"According to my intel," Mei spoke in a hushed yet determined voice, "Yagura has dispatched a significant portion of his forces. It's said he struck a deal with Sunagakure to lay siege to Pakura of Sunagakure. This is the perfect moment. With fewer guards around him, we can take him down in one swift strike."
She scanned the faces of the ninjas beside her, their expressions hardened with resolve. Then, she added a final push of encouragement.
"We have reason to believe that Yagura is being controlled. This isn't treason—we're not rebelling. We're setting things right."
A murmur rippled through the group. Controlled? If true, it would explain Yagura's recent erratic rule.
Mei's gaze sharpened. "Move out!"
—
With that, the rebels surged into the Mizukage building. The air filled with the sharp clang of metal against metal, cries of pain from the wounded, and the relentless rhythm of combat.
A short distance away, Lucas watched from the shadows, his expression unreadable.
Originally, he had planned to deal with Yagura himself. But upon seeing Terumi Mei's coup in motion, he decided to sit back and observe.

[Chat Group]
Gengetsu Hōzuki: "Group Leader, is it true that Yagura is being controlled?"
Lucas: "Yep, it's true."
Senju Hashirama: "Ahh, that explains it! No wonder he made so many dumb decisions."
Senju Tobirama: "Hah! What an embarrassment. A Mizukage getting controlled? Kirigakure's leadership is a joke compared to Konoha."
Gengetsu Hōzuki: "Excuse me? Our tragedy was caused by outsiders. Your Konoha's tragedies? All self-inflicted. If anything, Konoha is worse!"
Senju Hashirama: "Alright, enough. No fighting. What I really want to know is—how was Yagura even controlled in the first place?"
Lucas: "Illusion. Genjutsu."
Gengetsu Hōzuki: "Genjutsu? But isn't Yagura a perfect Jinchūriki?"
Uchiha Shisui: "Wait, what exactly is a perfect Jinchūriki?"
Senju Tobirama: "It means the Jinchūriki and the tailed beast have mutual trust. They work together as partners, making them highly resistant to genjutsu."
Uchiha Shisui: "Ohh, I get it now! The best way to break a genjutsu is to disrupt your chakra flow—and a tailed beast inside a Jinchūriki can do just that! Since they're literally inside the same body, the tailed beast can immediately inject chakra to break the genjutsu."
Senju Hashirama: "So how did this happen, then? How did a perfect Jinchūriki get caught in an illusion?"
Lucas: "Simple. Yagura wasn't a perfect Jinchūriki until after he was controlled. Back then, he didn't have a great relationship with the Three Tails. When he was first put under genjutsu, the Three Tails didn't bother helping him break free."
Senju Tobirama: "And then what?"
Lucas: "Then he met a man with the Mangekyō Sharingan. The moment they crossed paths, Yagura was trapped in an illusion. Since the Three Tails didn't immediately help, the Sharingan user took things further—he used his dojutsu to invade the sealed space, placing both Yagura and the Three Tails under his control."
Senju Tobirama: "I see! Since the same person controlled both, they started acting in sync. That must be why Yagura seemed like a perfect Jinchūriki to outsiders."
Lucas: "Exactly."
Pirate King Roger: "Damn… that's rough. If the Three Tails and Yagura had actually trusted each other, this wouldn't have happened."
Whitebeard: "I'm starting to notice a pattern. Every tragedy in the Ninja World boils down to one thing—lack of trust."
Uchiha Madara: "Senju Hashirama, you hearing this? This is the very nonsense you used to preach. Your dream of 'understanding each other'? Completely unrealistic."
Senju Hashirama: "..."
After everything he had witnessed, even Senju Hashirama struggled to believe his own ideals anymore.
Lucas: "Understanding each other? Easier said than done. Take Yagura and the Three Tails, for example. From Yagura's perspective, he's a Jinchūriki—but for the Three Tails, Yagura is just a cage. Their goals don't align. If the Three Tails wanted to be free, Yagura would have to die."
Pirate King Roger: "With a setup like that, of course they couldn't trust each other. Even I wouldn't be able to forgive someone trying to trap me."
Whitebeard: "If that's the case, how did other perfect Jinchūrikis manage to exist?"
Lucas: "Simple—the tailed beasts stopped struggling. At some point, they just accepted their fate. And as long as the Jinchūriki was a decent person, the tailed beasts figured they might as well cooperate. It wasn't about trust—it was about survival."
Senju Tobirama: "That's a good analogy. It explains why perfect Jinchūrikis exist."
Gengetsu Hōzuki: "But what's really weird is how the Mangekyō Sharingan user managed to control the Fourth Mizukage! How many people even have the Mangekyō Sharingan in the ninja world?"
Uchiha Shisui: "Are you implying it's the work of the Uchiha clan?"
Gengetsu Hōzuki: "Who else could it be? Only the Uchiha possess the Mangekyō Sharingan."
Senju Tobirama: "Lucas has it."
Gengetsu Hōzuki: "..."
Senju Hashirama: "Senju Tobirama, you're stirring up trouble again."
Uchiha Shisui: "There's also Hatake Kakashi from Konoha. He has a transplanted Sharingan. Once implanted, the Sharingan functions normally."
Gengetsu Hōzuki: "Wait, are you saying the guy controlling Yagura has a transplanted Mangekyō Sharingan?"
Uchiha Shisui: "It's possible. Or... it could be an Uchiha who betrayed the clan. Don't forget, Konoha's Nine Tails attack was also started by someone with a Sharingan."
Namikaze Minato: "Hold on! Are you saying the person who controlled Yagura is the same person who caused the Nine Tails attack on Konoha?!"
Lucas: "No need to guess. It's the same guy."
Namikaze Minato: "Wait... Seriously?! The exact same person?!"
Lucas: "Yep. And trust me—his identity will shock you."
[Outside World – Mizukage Building]
As Terumi Mei and her rebels stormed the Mizukage Building, the structure suddenly trembled violently. A deafening roar of water erupted from within, sending waves crashing through the corridors.
A battle had already begun.
Then, from the water's chaos, two figures emerged—one was a young boy wielding a weapon, the other was a masked man in a black cloak adorned with red clouds.
[Chat Group]
Namikaze Minato: "A masked man?! It's him! Even though he changed his mask, the fact that he only shows one Sharingan eye is exactly the same!"
Senju Tobirama: "Lucas, his Sharingan—it's only a three-tomoe, not a Mangekyō."
Lucas: "He has Senju Hashirama's cells. That lets him use Mangekyō-level abilities without showing the actual Mangekyō pattern."
Senju Hashirama: "Wait... He has my cells?! Now I'm starting to think this guy has ties to Shimura Danzo."
Senju Tobirama: "Big brother, no way. Danzo had your cells and Sharingan, but he couldn't control someone like this. He's not on that level."
Namikaze Minato: "Lucas, shouldn't you step in? Kirigakure's forces aren't strong enough to defeat that guy!"
Lucas: "Relax, I'm on my way."
Lucas had no doubt that Terumi Mei and her rebels would ultimately win, but he wasn't about to let Uchiha Obito escape. That wasn't part of his plan.
Uchiha Obito stood atop the transformed Yagura, whose body was rapidly changing. Within moments, he had fully transformed into Three Tails, the colossal turtle-like beast, its three tails lashing wildly.
Obito's lone Sharingan gleamed ominously as he surveyed the rebels below.
"Hmph." Obito sneered. "I'll give you credit. You actually noticed something was wrong with Yagura."
His gaze then locked onto Ao, the Mist ninja standing beside Terumi Mei.
"Ah… I see," Obito chuckled. "It's because of your Byakugan, isn't it? Troublesome. If I had known, I would've destroyed you sooner."
Terumi Mei stepped forward, her eyes filled with cold fury.
"You manipulated our Mizukage. You turned our village into a nightmare. And you think we'll just forgive you?"
Obito scoffed. "Forgive me? I don't need your forgiveness. Once Three Tails goes on a rampage, there won't even be a Kirigakure left to forgive me."
He lifted his hand.
"Three Tails—destroy everything!"
The beast let out a thunderous roar, shaking the entire battlefield.
Its massive tails swung through the air, sending waves of water crashing through the streets.
Terumi Mei's face darkened. Even as a Kage-level ninja, fighting a tailed beast head-on wasn't easy. And for the lower-level Mist Shinobi, facing the Three Tails was practically suicide.
Just as she braced herself for the worst—
BOOM!
From behind Three Tails, a gigantic wooden dragon burst forth, wrapping tightly around the rampaging beast.
The Three Tails let out a strangled roar, its shell creaking under the dragon's crushing grip.
"What the—?!"
Obito's eyes widened in shock.
This technique—the Wood Dragon Jutsu?!
His mind raced. He had only seen this technique once before, through Uchiha Madara's genjutsu. But he himself couldn't use it.
So who—?
Then, a voice called out.
"Yo~ Hello, Uchiha Obito!"
