About twenty minutes later, Lady Luo entered with her maid at her side.
When she saw how many people there were in the council hall, her expression first revealed surprise, and then she walked over to Family Head Luo's side.
Her voice was gentle as she asked, "Did you need me for something?"
Clearly, whoever had gone to summon her hadn't explained why they asked for her presence.
When Family Head Luo saw her like this, his confusion deepened.
"Today, several family heads received an invitation to visit the Luo Family," he started, his gaze fixed on Lady Luo, his words direct. "The handwriting on it was mine, and it bore my seal."
"However, I never wrote such an invitation."
Lady Luo, being astute, immediately grasped his implication.
She frowned slightly, "Do you suspect that I forged it?"
She and Family Head Luo had always shared a good relationship, so much so that on a whim she had taken to imitating his writing.
