Cain's eyes glowed with a meaningful light as he uttered the name of the underground organization to which Lotario had belonged. All sorts of plans began to form in his mind, strategies and contingencies springing forth as he recognized the immense potential of this underworld network. He knew well how useful such hidden forces could be, as he had used them in the past to achieve goals that would have been impossible otherwise.
However, those were moves for another time since, right now, he had to focus on something else. "Apex, I will need your assistance to expedite things. It's about Project Honeyguide."
The familiar voice of the System Spirit echoed immediately in Cain's consciousness, steady and sharp as always. "Honeyguide? You mean that parasitic bird you talked about with Gabriel and the others?"
Cain's lips curled into a faint smile. A cold, calculating gleam in his eyes reflected the intricate plan taking shape within his mind.
