There was sharp ringing in my ears, nonstop, causing my head to pound profusely, each pressure felt worse than getting hit by a car.
"Emma!"
Tessa?
"Emma!"
"You're too loud" I mumbled, the biting headache was too much to bear, causing my breathing to be labored with each intake.
"Emma! I remember now!"
"Tessa," I groaned.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have brought you here, I'm sorry"
"Wha—" I tried to peel my eyes open but couldn't, everything was too bright and intensified the splitting headache.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"
Why was she apologizing? I needed to open my eyes ASAP, her raspier tone told me something was wrong.
"Tessa" I peeled my eyes open. Everything was too bright, I closed them briefly before my eyes got used to the light by the third trial. Everything was white just like my room. I automatically moved my gaze to the windows, the curtains spread open. Those are ceiling curtains too, just like mine.
