When they came out of the underground prison, one of the guards was not in her place. Only the man was there and the woman was far away, at the edge of the barrier created by Ambrose.
On the other side of the defensive barrier was a warrior. Her face was not visible, but the urgency of her body gestures was evident.
"What's the matter?" Ambrose asked the young man.
"I'm not sure." The dark-skinned young man shook his head and explained, "Corporal Joahne suddenly showed up and Lewa went to find out what was going on."
Because the barrier blocked the commlink signals, it was impossible for both guards to be aware of what was going on outside. For this reason, they had no choice but to approach each other to speak and communicate messages.
Corporal Joahne noticed his general's presence and said something to Lewa, who turned and hurried towards them. Ambrose didn't ask anything and waited for the girl to fill him in on the situation first.
