Song Yulan turned her head and saw Gu Siting at the kitchen door, surprise and astonishment written across her face.
"Ah Ting is back!"
Song Yulan never raised Gu Siting from a young age and harbored feelings of guilt and discomfort in her heart.
She wanted to make up for the maternal love Gu Siting had missed out on but feared acting too hastily and frightening him.
Ming Yao also turned her head and, seeing Gu Siting's return, a smile played at the corners of her lips.
"Dinner will be ready soon."
Gu Siting stepped forward, extended his long arms, and pulled Ming Yao into his embrace.
Ming Yao still held a spatula in her hand, her body stiffened, and a blush spread over her tiny face.
"What are you doing!"
Song Yulan, seeing this, intended to leave and give the young couple some space, but Gu Siting's other hand also drew her into his embrace.
"Mom, Yaoyao."
Hearing Gu Siting call her "Mom," tears immediately welled up in Song Yulan's eyes and spilled over.
