Falling down the wall with blood dripping from both Mahō and Luke Gray springs into action and lunges up into the air to intercept the swordsman both of Grays daggers crash into the sword and he gets blown back to the ground. "Shit he has a magic sword." Gray yells to Sophia and Bella, Bella is already drawing her Bow and Chanting a spell to make her arrows faster while Sophia finished slipping on her gloves. "Cast fireball!" "Howling Winds" "Embassy of light" all gets said at the same time as the three attack the swordsman and overpower him, Grays fire ball and Bella's howling wind arrow combine into a howling fire arrow and embassy of light made Sophia blindingly bright so he couldn't see it coming. The attack killed the swordsman on impact leaving nothing but ashy remains. "Luke! Mahō! Are you alright." Gray said as he slid on the ground into where they were laying. "Sophia, Bella, Use healing magic please Luke first his mana signature is fading!" Bella and Sophia both began casting the healing spells that they knew on Luke, both distressed because Luke was the healer and they didn't know if they could succeed. Gray started chanting the basic healing spell everyone learned "I bestow the light of life, heal thy wound." and kept casting it on Mahō hoping to keep him stable until the girls got Luke up. Minutes went by as slow as hours as they all drained their mana on healing spells trying to save them and just as hope was almost lost, Luke woke up. "What happened, Wheres Mahō?" Luke said as he was sitting up looking is suprising good condition. "Woah are you okay Luke, Mahō is with Gray hes trying to heal him. Me and bell have been healing you, you looked horrible." Sophia said shocked he looked so well now. "Yeah I fell great you guys did good." Luke said as he stood up and walked over to Mahō and casted a more complex healing spell that opened his eyes. "Fuckk that hurt my back dude." Mahō said still laying on the ground. Gray and Luke chuckled a little knowing he would be alright. "Hey guys it looks like were not in the clear yet." Bella said pointing up to the window they had fallen from with around a dozen guys standing inside getting ready to jump down. "Fu-" Gray got cut off by a water bullet shooting towards him and him ducking under it before grabbing Mahō and jumping back behind cover so he could reorient himself. Mahō Standing up next to Gray exclaimed "You gotta be kidding me. We needa get out of here fast bro, everyone's mana is low and those guys seems strong." Gray rubbed his temples for a few seconds before he began silent casting 2 spells 1 in each hand. In his right hand was a orange fire that started swirling into a light blue fireball slowly before taking a firm shape about the size of a softball in his hand. His left hand had yellow and white lightning dancing around it erratically. Mahō began with water swirling in his hand for a second before it solidified into an icicle then started spinning fast like a drill. "Are you ready Mahō we need to strike hard and get everyone out as fast as possible." Mahō nodded to Gray and they turned the corner and both fired their spells. Gray brought his hands together and combined the spells to form a light blue fireball encased inside of yellow and white lightning that shot and expanded as it got further away from him, eventually taking 3 of the Jōgi out of the fight sending them flying down the alley and rolling into a wall. Mahō launched his ice drill piercing a man that was holding Bella leading her to be dropped on the ground and scrambling towards Mahō and Gray. Sophia and Luke noticing Grays gesture to run towards him take of running full speed away for the half dozen guys still standing trying to get away. About halfway through their sprint a wall of darkness appeared behind them temporarily stopping their pursuers and letting them get away. "Lets go run to bunker 33 its the closest to us." Gray said before looking at Mahō "Stay close to me and you'll be okay just don't get lost bro." Mahō nodded his head and followed.
2 Hours Later
Bella walks into the room to everyone letting out a relieved sigh. "What the hell bell what took you so long the bunker was only like 30 minutes away we thought you got cau.." "I'm fine Soph I just had to take a detour because I was being followed with a mana sense." Bella cut off Sophia and replied before giving her a hug and looking at Luke with a warm smile. "Man the general is going to be so pissed, we got compromised and I'm not even sure we saw proof of experimentation." Gray said ending with a huge sigh of frustration. "Oh I saw something right before I took off with Luke I saw some giant test tube looking things with people inside floating in some sort of liquid." Mahō said holding back some pent up anger. "What, why didn't you say anything before Mahō?" Sophia retorted with her own anger. "Well maybe because we were running for our lives who knows Sophia." Mahō shot back with heavy sarcasm. "Well we know now no need to fight over it girls." Mahō looked at gray with a dirty look for calling him a girl while Sophia smiled.
The Next Day
"So how again did you learn to silent cast 2 spells and combine them without any of us knowing gray?" Bella asked Gray while walking suspiciously close to him. "I told you it's something that just comes naturally when you understand the magic your working with. If you were better with your study you'd be able to silent cast by now." Gray said while pulling away from her. "Honestly Bell you use wind and air magic those have to be the simplest concepts to learn, you should've been able to silent cast before our all great leader." Luke said in a mocking tone towards gray while walking closer to Bella. The three of them walked into room T7 - 41 and saw Sophia and Mahō sitting on the couch as far away from each other as possible. "Looks like some things wont change."
