Throughout the journey, the accompanying Order Guard increasingly gave Gong Xiao the impression of a guiding robot. They remained silent the whole way, and Gong Xiao simply followed, unable to get any response to her questions unless it was a necessary matter, at which point the Guard would utter a few words. Each time, however, the sound emitted did not exceed two syllables.
Gong Xiao couldn't count how many times she "brushed past" individuals working within the huge square devices. Finally, they reached the end of this space and arrived at a silver door opposite to them. As before, a red light scanned over the face of the Order Guard, and the door swiftly opened. When the light fell upon Gong Xiao, it similarly flashed brightly.
"This place is huge. Will I ever have the chance to go out?" she asked, standing beside the Order Guard. She hadn't expected any response to her question, but surprisingly, this time, the Order Guard replied.
"Once you're in here, no one can get out."
