Asher stared at the duke who had a poker face explaining all this. Asher didn't know what to feel. He felt like laughing that the duke pissed her off like this. But on the other hand, he felt like he was being disrespectful to her with no strong reason. Did she push him too much that he chased her away like that?

"This is the first time she visited me after almost 10 years. Ever since my father died, no one in my father's family or mother's family came to help us in any way. Thanks to my father's savings, we survived till I took over his place. That aunt…came here after all these years, but she didn't even ask if I was doing okay. I know they don't have to care.
