"Are you Lin Xuan?" asked the dark figure at the doorway.
Lin Xuan frowned, looking up; today had been particularly irritating, with one interruption after another.
Even his meal had been disrupted.
The figure in front wore a voluminous black robe and short hair, and had delicate features, though currently marred by a scowl.
Lin Xuan was puzzled; he had never seen this person before and didn't know why they were angry.
Seeing Lin Xuan not replying, the figure in front grew even more annoyed, "I heard from my cousin that you were arrogant, but I didn't believe it. Now it seems true; you really are an arrogant fellow."
Lin Xuan was stunned. Arrogant? Was he talking about him? He was absolutely not being arrogant!
The other continued, "To think you dared reject our invitation. I want to see what gives you the audacity."
With that, the person pulled out a dark-red soft whip from their waist and coiled it in hand.
