Chris's smart watch beeped erratically.
His mind instantly went to Sky. He had been trying so hard to reach him—calling, texting, desperately hoping for a sign, anything that would let him know Sky was okay. But now, hearing this from Cory made the pit in his stomach deepen.
Cory shrugged, not understanding the gravity of Chris's reaction. "Apparently, he wasn't the first one to come up claiming that, so they took him in. More security problems, I guess."
Chris froze. His body went cold, and a deep panic surged through him. "Wait, wait, you mean... he is here. And they took him? They didn't let him in?"
Cory didn't respond immediately. He was still thinking through the pieces of information, but Chris's growing panic couldn't be ignored. Without a second thought, Chris grabbed Wilson's phone from the table, his hands trembling as he scrolled through the messages. "Wilson, where's the photo? The one of Sky I sent you before."
