Chapter 2 - Staircase to hell

To tell you the truth, I don't run very fast. Basically, I like to spend time locked in my room, lying on the bed. The rain outside the window, a mug of sweet coffee, and a laptop on my lap is all I need in this life. Although on cloudy days it is sometimes nice to walk in the rain and think about something bad. The sun and good thoughts do not particularly attract me. That's the kind of person I am.

Maybe that's why I don't run very fast. When I ran to the stairs of the 1st floor, Dan, this attention-grabbing idiot, had already managed to escape from the hands of his friends and was chasing me.

I started up the stairs quickly. My room was on the last, 6th floor. Not the most fortunate set of circumstances.

"Stop, I said!" he shouted after me.

"Get away from me, you fricking maniac!"

"Which one of us is a maniac here, stupid?"

"Well, it's not me chasing you," I yelled, barely breathing, for the whole flight of stairs.

The students recoiled at the sight of us and stood on their sides so that we would not knock them down. There were 2 more floors until I could reach my room.

"Just a little more, please, and I'll be in my room," I said to myself.

"Hey showgirl, do you want to take back your rope?" he continued to shout.

"Leave yourself as a good memory of our meeting!"

"A good memory?!"

I was already on the fifth floor. One more push and I'll be there. Just a few steps, a turn, and ...

Before I could finish my thought, someone suddenly appeared before my eyes. I tried to dodge, but he was already too close.

"Hey, bespectacled, are you going to stop already or not?" Dan shouted. He stopped at the bottom of the stairwell to catch his breath when he suddenly saw how I hit some guy and my body began falling.

I closed my eyes. What will happen to me? Concussion? I will be taken to the hospital, relatives will come and will sit all day at my bed and whine that I am not like that what they want, I don't know how to look under my feet, a bad daughter/niece/sister. Or maybe I'll die? Well, in the morgue, no one will bother me for hours. I'll have to suffer a little at the funeral and that's it. Finally, I will be able to sleep peacefully.

What if my soul does not calm down due to a large number of grievances and will rush back and forth, and I will never find peace?

Now, even dying is scary. Horrible.

3…2…1… Now my flight will be over.

The guy who knocked me down stretches his hand forward in the hope of catching me (but I already reached the bottom of the stairs) and shouts something.

Oh, yes. I didn't even scream when he hit me. What a shame. Even in this, I did not justify the hopes of the others.

"Aaaaaaa!" I started screaming

"Ouch! What are you squealing?" an angry voice asked me.

I turned my head.

"Whaaaat?" I rolled my eyes at him.

"What "what?" he asked indignantly.

I looked down, then around me. It all looked like I was in a romantic drama. So I ran away from the guy I hate, then some random classmate knocked me down, and now I'm already in the arms of my savior, who caught me at the most dangerous moment.

"Let go of me, you stupid bastard!" I started screaming as I fought back.

"What are you doing?! Calm down, I'll let you go…"

Before he had time to say the last words, he lost his balance and we both fell to the floor.

"My head…" I said as I rose to my knees.

"You…." an angry voice said quietly to me.

"Huh?"

"Youuu ... you piss me off!" Dan shouted.

He took my rope and began to choke me with it.

"You will kill me, you will kill me, leave me alone! Have you gone crazy?"

"Didn't you want to die yourself? No thanks needed," he said.

"Help me! Help me!" I began screaming, trying to free myself from under this ill-fated rope.

"Dan, let her go!" one of the guys shouted.

Someone grabbed my leg, and others began to pull him by the arms so that he would let me go. But the rope got even tighter.

"Idiots! Now I'm going to die for sure," I barely managed to say.

"What... what are you doing?" the girl who had just approached me timidly said. It was the student council president. "Let her go, please, what are you doing," she said with fear in her voice.

"All away!" I heard a loud voice.

A few seconds passed, and my eyes rolled back. I fainted.
