" You left for your safety and I waited for your return" his words were the best thing that she ever hears. Guilt washed on her.
" It's not your fault Zillah, you did the right thing ". He held her hands and pulled her in to rest on his chest while his chin rested on her head lightly. " I'm sorry " she apologized
" No you're not, no one is at fault ". He stroked her softly.
" But you slept alone on our first night here. It's my fault for leaving". Her voice was sad and she spoke with her mouth twisted on his shirt in a cute way and he looked down at her. " Would've been your last " his grin made her morning.
She had no idea what was wrong with Alvah and it looked like even he didn't know what was wrong with him and he didn't want to talk about it but she was glad she was able to tell Ghazan. He would help him.
" We're playing games together today". She announced to him.
" Who are we playing with?". He asked curiously.
" It's a group game. Aeron's team, Daiviks and ours".
" Good thing it's a couple game". He sighed in relief . " Why?" She knew he had his own perspective but initially she wanted it to be boys versus girls but it sounded more like a cheat.
" So that I could be closer to you". He held her chin lifting it up, tilting his head. Zillah closed her eyes waiting for his kiss but he rubbed their nose instead.
She chuckled. For the first time she craves his kiss but he didn't kiss her rather rubbed their noses together. He loved doing that, it felt like comfort to him.
He kissed her on the cheek softly pressing his lips on her cheeks and she grinned widely. He tickled her a bit and she laughed falling to the bed. She rolled away before he could get hold of her.
" I'll shower first". She headed to the bathroom while Alvah watched her leave with a smirk on his face. His eyes settled on her with thoughts of her in his head that he didn't shake off. He rested on the pillow closing his eyes falling back to sleep.
Coming out from the bathroom, she noticed he had dozed off and she let him. She knew he was stressed and she didn't want to bother him more. He would be fine before the game that's for sure so she left the room
On the corridor, she met with keva who was on her way to meet Cristal in Aeron's room. She was eager since Daivik told her where she stayed.
"Keva!" … "Zillah!" They both ran to each other. " You're okay now?". Zillah asked searching her body. " Yes I am". They both hugged each other tightly.
" I was just on my way to meet Cristal. It's been forever ". Zillah heard the excitement in her voice. Considering what Cristal said last night, Zillah was terrified for keva. She would not get the reaction she was looking for from cristal and that would ruin a lot before the day would begin.
" keva" she called her name holding her by the shoulder. " Why don't you let Cristal come to you. I mean she definitely hears you're back now so she must be anticipating to meet you don't ruin it okay ".
" Now go back to your room and wait". She slightly pushed her to the opposite direction.
" But Zillah …"
" Nuh uh. I insist". " Besides how's it with Daivik now?". She asked to deviate her attention.
She turned to look at Zillah " We've reconciled. We talked about everything last night, I asked him to tell me everything and he did. I apologized sincerely to him. I would never hurt Daivik".
She continued speaking when Zillah looked over her shoulder to see Cristal who seemed to be coming from keva's room. She made a strong eye contact till Cristal crossed eyes with her.
Both locked in, she walked over to keva and hugged her tightly, seizing her breath. Keva stopped and chuckled at Zillah. " You really missed me didn't you?"
Zillah chuckled back glaring at Cristal indicating that this is what she should do to keva when she saw her. Cristal got the hint and tiptoed behind her.
When Zillah released from the hug, Cristal hugged her from behind. Forgetting everything that had happened between them, she felt her older sister was back, her comfort. Keva gasped with strain of tear bubbles in her eyes. She knew her touch.
Zillah smiled at the heartfelt moment. Kissed the air and waved at keva, keva smiled at her whispering " thank you". Zillah smiled back and teleported.
Keva turned around to look at Cristal. She opened her arms wide and Cristal hugged her dearly. " I really missed you". Keva said murmuring next to her head.
" I missed you too keva". She sniffed in to clear the mucus in her nose.
Meanwhile, Zillah appeared to meet Daivik. " It's on today?" She asked her. " Yeah it is".
Aeron had informed him about Zillah's little game for fun. " You look happy?" She smiled walking over to his bed side. " Honestly, I'm Soo grateful to you and Alvah you have no idea. What Elysian would've become no one can predict".
" I was overwhelmed with everything. But despite the mist and chaos, Alvah is still able to see through, think things thoroughly and act precisely without mistakes, without help. How does he do it?"
" Don't ask me" Zillah laughed at herself. " I am his mate and yet I am in no status quo, level, or in comparison to him. He's Soo great and audacious and I have no relative traits to him. It's like we are... poles apart".
Daivik laughed at her and how she explained herself in the cheapest way possible. " All you need to be is his partner. Nothing more Zillah".
" Exactly and if I ask for more, I'm asking for too much or disturbing. Oh, why would you want powers, you have Alvah to protect you. It doesn't make sense". She whines feeling depressed.
" No one said that, it's all in your head". He knew she was getting lost thinking and that nothing of the sort was going on in the real world. " Seeking for more power doesn't make you desperate, rather willingness to be better and not even Empyreal Nova will stop that".
What Daivik said was true. She once occupied in her the power of an Empyreal but she was never resented or reprimanded for it. Instead, Empyreal Ghazan trained her to be more like him, better if she could.
