I remembered the day I had gone to the underworld. The Greek underworld where an Egyptian god was most likely highly unwelcome.
I had just been humiliated by my defeat against Horus. For so many nights and days we had fought. I had come out victorious on so many occasions yet because of one dumb move. One time I trusted him the King of Egypt title had been swept under my feet.
My mind was in shambles and I could no longer take the torture of protecting Ra during the journey at night. The serpents were twisted creatures and even though my sole purpose was to control them, I did not think my mind could bear it anymore.
I was starting to unravel at my very seams. I was desperate to ruin everyone. Everything. My own wife had betrayed me and I had found out Anubis was not in fact my son. My soul was tortured and when I had heard that Horus's child was about to be titled as the new Queen of Egypt all I wanted, needed and craved was revenge.
