Investigator Mahoru couldn't help but inhale sharply at the sight of the mangled and grotesquely twisted corpse in front of him.
They frequently encountered similar human corpses, as ghouls had an overwhelming advantage over humans and could wantonly manipulate them—tearing, twisting, and killing them at will.
But for humans to do something similar to ghouls was far more difficult; weapons, after all, were just weapons, and humans inherently lacked the strength to confront ghouls... or should they?
Not to mention, the ghoul before them had been classified as an S-rated, extra-strong ghoul. Its power had been experienced first-hand by Mahoru and Amon; even with their best efforts, they were merely toys in its hands.
