A week passed and things became more stuffy for Hazel as she had much things on her workload, one of them was that, she had to look for a way to let Evelyn see Elliot without Elliot's knowledge. All she could hope on was that, Evelyn should be a good person trying to help. Two, was that, although she was now done with all the elemental abilities, the next was on how to stop the dark witches if they ever opened the portal, this alone was a big work
"Wakie wakie" Xavier called disturbing Hazel from thoughts "what are you thinking of?"
"Nothing serious... From the look of things, seems like you are free today, well, except for emergencies"
"Yeah"
"I wish I was free like you are but I aren't and I wouldn't want any distraction from you today so..." She stood up walking towards the bathroom "...I'll be leaving immediately I freshen up"
"I can't have time with my own woman because of....."
"Its your idea remember, you brought about me learning my abilities" she interrupted him
"But you're done with that" he whined
"Suck it up" she said and entered the bathroom leaving Xavier as he slumped back on the bed disappointed at his failed attempt of some hot morning make out session. He decided to wait till she was done, maybe the would get a kiss or two. A knock interrupted his thoughts
"Who's it?"
"Milord" Lucas answered
"What do you want, don't tell me its an emergency"
"No, its Connor"
"Come in" he said and Lucas stepped in "what about Connor?"
"He wants to meet Hazel"
"What's his reason? Hazel didn't mention anything about meeting him today"
"He didn't say"
"Take him to the drawing room, I'll be there shortly"
"Okay"
At the drawing room
"What brings you here, Connor?"
"I came to meet Hazel"
"She's busy. What's it you want yo tell her"
"Oh, its nothing important, just that she should bring her dad the next time she's coming to the church"
"Her dad? Lionel?"
"Yes"
"Do you know him?"
"We've worked together before"
"He was once a church worker?"
"No, its a long story"
"OK. I'll let Hazel know about it"
"I'll take my leave"
"Wait..... You can meet him now, he's in his room, it will be much better" Xavier suggested
"No, I'll wait till he comes..... I want it to be a surprise"

Back at the room, Hazel was done showering, she dressed and came out to see Xavier still in the bed
"You're still here" she asked
"I guess..... So what do you have in mind to do today?"
"My book and see if Evelyn will come around today, again"
"Hmmn... Did you tell Connor about your dad"
"Yeah, I told him about him being a switcher, is there any problem?"
"Does you dad know Connor? Did he mention ever working with him?"
"No.... Why this weird questions?"
"Connor just left, and he asked you to come with your dad the next time you come. He says he knows him and he wants to meet him"
"Okay....." Hazel said, her thoughts going back yo the time she had told Connor about her dad being Morgan and his reaction 'maybe they know each other' she thought "....So your concern here is?" She asked still not getting why he asked
"Morgan is a switcher, what does Connor have yo do with a switcher?"
"He's a white witch doesn't mean he wouldn't have something to do with them, maybe sometimes I'm the past, they crossed path, who knows"
"Hmmn"
"What were you thinking.... Connor is a switcher"

"Breakfast will be served by now, aren't you coming"
"I will, right after I get something from you" he said sounding smug. Hazel who already knows what he was asking of gave it to him. His hot morning make out session
After breakfast, Hazel immediately went into the book on how to stop the witches, it was a bulky one which made the whole thing more frustrating. All she could pick from the book was that, only a white witch can stop the opening of the dark portal, she also read that, the more the portal stays open, the more powerful the dark witches get, also, it was noted that some spells were needs to close the portal if opened but the spells weren't written, seems like she has to find that out herself.
After spending a good amount if time on the book, she closed it and tried figuring about what to do on Evelyn's case. She noticed that Xavier was still in the bed
"Aren't you going to do anything today?"
"I am... Actually we are"
"We?"
"I just want us to have our alone time"
"No Xavier, it will end up with you just riling me yo with your kisses and leaving me hot and bothered"
"Huh?"
"You never go beyond your kisses" she complained
"That's because the last time I tried, you had a panic attack" he voice softening as he spoke "we'll go beyond just kisses when you're ready okay"

"And I never knew you wanted more" his cockiness coming back "you could have asked and I would badly comply"
"Pervert"
"You brought this up, not me"
"You talked about spending alone time"
"I meant cuddling and laying beside search other, who knew you had something else in mind"

"So should we do it my way or yours'
"You better keep to your words" she warned joining him in the bed as he wrapped his arms around her waist and rested his head in her neck, her scent was what he needed at that time
"This book is frustrating" Hazel said talking about the book she was reading earlier
"How is it?"
"The book said a white witch is needs to close the portal, it didn't specify how, like maybe as a sacrifice or something since that's his it was opened, also some spells are needed but it want written there, now the hell am I going to find them"
"Take it easy, I'm sure the answer you're searching for are very close, you aren't just looking well"
"I wish it was that easy"
"But there's no need to look for a way to stop them if you were to ask me because, they need either you or me to perform the last sacrifice, so without us, they can't open it, meaning there's nothing to stop"
"Then we will let them have me" Hazel said making Xavier retract his arms from her waist immediately and turning her to face him
"What are you saying!!" Xavier shouted "I should hand you over to them? Are you sick?"
"Not now, but much later when I've perfected my..."
"Stop saying that" he interrupted "I'm not letting that happen"
"This is for the best Xavier, we can't keep hiding. If we are able to defeat them by fighting and I close the portal, it would take them centuries before they come up with another plan to reopen it will which will be much better than hiding and not knowing when they would strike. To win a war, you need to be one step ahead of your enemy and by doing this, we will be one step ahead"
"You don't understand what you are saying Hazel, you will he killed, sacrificed so the portal will open, how do you plan to fight them"
"We'll go with the plan Elliot had given about my half soul"
"And how are you going to hand yourself over to them?"
"Dorin will handle that"
"Dorin?"
"Yeah"
At the center town at Borreve, in a small dark shop, Dorin was with a woman whose face wasn't seen and they were discussing
"When will you fulfil what you had promised?"
"I haven't found an opportunity to get her but once I do, I'll bring her"
"I hate delays, you know"
"You got no option. You need her urgently and seriously, you'll have to wait till I bring her" the woman then brought her face yo the light and it was no other person than Selles
"That's what you have to say?" Selles asked
"Look, I'm not meant to involve myself with the likes of your kind but I got no option, I hate her cause she's stealing someone from me and you want her for your witch stuffs, so we are helping each other"
"I'll be patient for now, but I can't promise later"
"Let's meet next at my tailor shop"
"You'll have the girl by then?"
"I can't promise but I'll try and look for a way to bring her here"
"So how much am I to give you"
"I don't need your guilty money witch, take her as a gift from me" Dorin hissed feeling insulted
"Hmmn.... And no one knows about our dealing right?"
"No one knows"
Back at the mansion
"Dorin is working with the witches"
"No, she just working with them on getting me"
"Same thing. How are you sure about this?"
"Elliot being doing his work well"
"You knew something like this and you didn't tell me"
"You would have sent Dorin out and that will not favour us"
"I would have killed her!"
"Even worse.... I don't want her dead"
"But she wants you dead"
"She doesn't, or will I say she doesn't care, she's just looking for was way to get rid of me"
"I'll deal with her when all this is over"
"Good.... So my plan"
"What's it"
"I'm very sure, Elliot will have information on what Dorin and Selles would have discussed and well know how they plan to bring me to them....... That's it"
"I know"
This was the plan, first, since Kyle is having in mind that the next time Hazel visits, she'll get into her vessel and live as Hazel, the plan was to let kyle have her way, Xavier will be aware that it want hazel in the body. Then Dorin will take Kyle to the witches to be sacrificed, immediately she's killed, Xavier will have to secure the body.
Elliot had said that there was a rule that say, of a soul -a lost soul- gets to find a vessel and lives in it, if the vessel is killed then the soul can no longer come back yo the living world again, its like it only has one chance in living.
Having secured the vessel, Hazel will get back in it and stop the witches, its like killing two birds with a stone. Kyle and the witches will be gotten rid of.
That evening, Evelyn came as expected to see Hazel
"Is he around?"
"Elliot is in an assignment for me"
"Why will be go on an assignment for you?"
"He's my reaper remember and he's to protect me"
"Where can I find him?"
"Don't know"
"I hope you aren't playing with my head"
"I'm not, I'm trying yo help just like you said"
"Then where's he?"
"As I said, he isn't here.... But yo do you a favour, instead of you waltzing in here every now and then, I'll send for you if he comes back"
"That will be much better"
During dinner, everyone sat including Lionel this time
"Hazel, have you told your dad about what Connor said" Xavier reminded
"No, I almost forgot" Hazel turned to her dad "dad, you remember I asked that you should follow me to church"
"Yeah and I agreed"
"I think Connor wants to meet you"
"Why?"
"He says he knows you"
"Connor"
"Yeah, been a long time"
"I'm getting suspicious about this whole church thing" Dorin butted in "are you guys hiding anything cause you frequently visiting the church is weird" she continued
"We humans serve a God, I don't know for you vampires but I pray to my God and I'm sure you've seen other humans do it also"
"Speaking of which" Xavier starred "where have you been Dorin, you left the mansion since morning" he asked and Dorin visibly flinched
"Xavier" Hazel slowly said warningly
"What. I want to know"
"Drop it Xavier" Hazel said again
"Why do you want to know about my whereabouts" Dorin said after finally finding her voice
"When all this is over, I'll deal with you" Xavier hissed and left
"When what is over?" Dorin asked nobody exactly as everyone ignored her
