After breakfast which was mostly with Xavier teasing Hazel at every bite of her food, Xavier had planned that they would cuddle for they rest of the day but Hazel turned it down with the excuse that she had promised Evelyn that she'll meet with Elliot that day and she was to help with that.
At the drawing room, Evelyn was sitter waiting for Hazel as she had sent for, a few minutes later, instead of Hazel to come in, it was Elliot who came. Part of her was shocked and angry at him but another part was happy to finally see him
"Elliot" she called standing to her feet with so much longing in her eyes
"Hey" Elliot said trying to ignore the tense atmosphere "Hazel said you have been waiting to see me, so let's get this over" he completed taking the seat opposite her
"Yeah...right" she sighed taking her seat "so....how are you...."
"Evelyn, I haven't agreed to see you to initiate small talks, just let know why you came to see me" he bluntly interrupted making her bow her head slightly in shame and he felt guilty a bit
"Sure..... Right....uhm, as Hazel has told you, Crane is trying every means to help you and they've found out that Katherine is also involved, though she missing at the moment and she's being chased at the moment, a bounty has been placed on her"
"Okay. So why exactly is Crane asking for me?"
"He wants you back at the barrier"
"I can't, Hazel needs me here, there are things I'm looking into in her case and I can't leave"
"Then, you can at least come to my place at my dance school, Crane does visit sometimes, you can meet there" she suggested
Elliot thought on it for some seconds before agreeing, seems like he would have to ask for a favour from Crane "sure, that will work" he said and Evelyn nodded. The silence persisted for some seconds before Evelyn broke it
"How have you been?" She asker slowly with her voice softening
"I've been good as you can see"
"Its been long since we last saw.... let me guess, a little over two years?"
"You can tell Crane I'll meet him tomorrow at your dance school. Now, if you would excuse me, I have things to attend to"
"You're just going to keep ignoring me like you always do"
"See you tomorrow" and he took his leave.
Later on, Hazel walked in to see Evelyn staring into space
"How did it go" Hazel asked
"Not bad, at least he accepted seeing Crane, which was a little bit too easy, if I may add"
"And what about you two" she asker again to which Evelyn shrugged giving a tight lipped smile
"He doesn't want to talk about it"
"Then make him, you should know why he's ignoring his feeling"
"At the moment, just glad he's okay and I'll try my best to see that he's proven innocent of whatever crime he's accused of, after that, I'll cut of him"
"Why?"
"Hazel, I've been hoping for him to admit his feelings for a very long time and recently, I've been having this feeling that its just me in this and I'm just suffocating him with mine"
"I get....... but do you have any idea on what might be holding him"
"Except this rule that Crane had set about not having any romantic relationship amongst reapers, there's none I know of"
"Crane made such a rule?"
"Yeah but that's not a valid reason for him to behave that way"
"Why do you think so?"
"If he really liked me, he would have talked to Crane about it. I'm sure, he would have told you that he's Crane's favourite and I'm very sure, Crane would have uplifted such rule"
Later on, during the evening, Hazel tried speaking yo Elliot but he bluntly ignored her or tried changing the subject which made Hazel give up. She went back to the room to see Xavier going through some papers
"I thought you had said, you were free through out today" Hazel inquired going close to where he sat
Xavier seeing her, dropped the papers and gave her, his Charmin smile, spreading his hands out for a hug. She didn't resist and sat on his laps while the hugged
"I've missed you" he breathed out, inhaling her scent from her neckline
"Oh yeah, we met like a few hours ago" she teased
"Really, I didn't notice"
"You're just being clingy" she huffed
"Call it whatever you want" he said before pausing "how did it go with Elliot and Evelyn?"
"He accepted meeting Crane"
"That's good"
"But he's still denying Evelyn and Evelyn is starting to give up"
"Rabbit, don't worry about the matters of the heart, those king of things will take place in its due time, just like us, hmmn"
"Yeah..." She paused before frowning "you went as far as demoting me to a kitchen maid" she complained
"And I'll forever regret that... I'm sorry" he apologized
"Hmmph"
"I can make it up to you" he suggested
"How?"

"Let's see....." He said starting to place kisses on her neck slowly, leaving traces with his breath making Hazel shudder a bit. "I can...." he said again withdrawing from the hug so that he was facing her, he placed a kiss in her both eyes, the her nose, her cheeks, proceeding to her jawline. He continued this cyclic process, succeeding in leaving Hazel wanting more
"I can bring you to pleasure like last night" he finished his earlier sentence. His voice dropping extremely low which just turned Hazel on the more
"What do you say about that?" he asked and then claimed her lips into a hit searing kiss, he didn't waste any moment to thrust his tongue in, searching for hers. Hazel surrendered herself to his assault and received the pleasure willingly.
The kiss was tough from the very beginning, full of list but at the same time, love, rough but passionate, fast but delicate.
He later, disconnected from the kiss making her whine a little and causing a small frown on her fore head. Xavier, saw this and smiled a bit also taking note of her now swollen red lips
"I asked a question earlier and you haven't responded" he said referring to his earlier question
"What did you say?" Hazel asked totally confused on what he was saying
"Seems like my kisses sure has a big effect in your brain" he smirked causing her already small frown to deepen "I asked if I would have the pleasure of bringing you, pleasure" he asked again moving to the junction between her neck and shoulder, to nib on. He brought his tongue out a little to soothe wherever he had nibbed a little too hard
"What's your take on that?" He urged on
"Y-yes" she replied, more like whispered
"I didn't get that"
"Yes Xavier, make me yours" she firmly said, this time staring directly into his eyes
"Your wish is my command, rabbit" he smirked and pulled her up, taking them towards the bed. He later her gently on it before pulling his clothes off, giving her a little strip show while flexing his muscles. He then proceeded to position himself between her thighs, going back to kissing her lips again while slowly peeling her clothing off her while she didn't notice cause she was too immersed in the kiss
It wasn't until she felt the cold breeze on her skin that she realised she was completely nude against him. Xavier pulled back to take her in, sucking a sharp breath. The last night was dark with few candles lighting the room, so he wasn't able to take her all in, but with the Sun's light from the curtains, he was this time
"I don't think I'll get enough of you" he said smoking at the now shy lady below him
"You're so gorgeous, rabbit and beautiful. Keep that in mind.. And I love you"

Some hours later, they were sprawled on the bed still catching their breaths and smiling
"We need to clean up" Xavier spoke first
"I'm tired" she whined
"I know, I caused it" he grinned
"Stupid" she murmured to which he heard and chuckled. He then stood up, carrying her towards the bathroom to clean them up
"I'm hungry" Hazel said when Xavier was fine with her and was focusing on dressing himself
"Of course you are..... I'll get Collins to bring dinner here"
"Are you going anywhere?"
"No, rabbit, well eat and then cuddle to sleep"
"OK. Just cuddling" she said sternly
"Of course" he mocked bowed "but I'll be waiting patiently if you ever change your mind"
"I won't"
Collins came some minutes later with their dinner which they both ate with Hazel taking most of the potion with the excuse that he got her tired. Some maids came later to clear the plates and they cuddled to sleep. Just cuddled, as Hazel had said
