Why cats shouldn't eat all humans

Cruelty, something humans know all too well and for some come all too easily. A man stands looking at the black still water in the night. With nothing but scorn in his heart he throws the bag of kittens he was holding into the water. It was no fault of their own for being born but for the hands they were in it was unforgivable. A crisp splash sounded out as he stood there for a moment.
"Hay!" Hollered out a young man's voice to his right. Just down the hill to his right he could now see the silhouette of two people by the water. One of them was now sprinting towards him.
I should have paid more attention! The man thought to himself as he turned on his heels and pulled out his car keys. Dashing for his car he could hear the young man yelling at him again.
"Hay! Stop… "
Clunk went the car door as the man with a scornful and cruel heart quickly started his car. The lights turned on revealing the young man just now reaching the top of the hill. His eyes were squinted as he brought up a hand to block the light.
Spinning tires sounded out and in the absence of the car rushing away you could hear a woman call out. "Sam. Get down here I need your help!" The young man turned and ran back down the hill.
At the foot of the hill near the water was a little tent. Inside was a lamp hanging and swinging around as his wife Heather sat in the middle of the tent fussing over something. Her pajamas were soaking wet and what must have been the bag thrown into the water sat empty beside her.
"Sit quick Sam. It's Kitten's… Sam… I." Now sitting in front of Heather he could see kittens on her sleeping bag. Heather was teary as she pressed her fingers on the chest of one of the kittens. Sam quickly started doing the same. "Hold him upside down by the hindlegs and give a few bounces." Sam said before giving a breath of air the one he was trying to revive.
"Meeooww." came a heart pounding relief from the kitten is Heather's hands.
Minutes later Heather was driving her car as Sam held a sweater full of kittens. Sam was on the phone talking to an emergency vet. Minutes later Sam stood at the vet office front desk handing over his sweater full of kittens.
"Don't you worry. I will take good care of them." He heard the vet call out as she hurriedly walked away.
Walking out of the vet office Sam sat back in the car and looked at Heather. Leaning in, they hugged each other breathing a sigh of relief. Heather was still in wet pajamas and Sam looked like he was attacked by a bush with leaves all throughout his hair and clothes. "The vet said they would call us in the morning." Sam said as Heather started the car.
"Well I say we go home for now and check on them before we go get our tent tomorrow." Heather smiled faintly and Sam nodded.
"Yeah that sounds like a plan."
The next morning Heather walked out of the vet office with a pet carrier. She was clueless as to what she would do in the long run but the moment the vet asked if she wanted them she blurted out. "Yes!"
Sitting the carrier in the back seat she hopped in beside it and buckled. Sam sitting in the front passenger seat looked back to see a giggling wife sticking her head and hand into the now open carrier. Unbuckling himself Sam got out and sat in the driver seat before asking. "Are they all ok?"
"They are now." Replied Heather as she held a kitten up and kissed it before putting her back with her siblings.
(I am not a vet. Vet care and emergency care suggest doing the following if you ever have a pet that has inhaled water)
Remove the animal from the body of water. If the animal is unconscious, hold it upside down by the hindlegs (with the front legs supporting the body on the ground) to allow water to come out of the mouth. Clear the airway and institute CPR. If available, an oxygen mask and tank can be used to supply supplemental oxyen.
