After Kael left, the headmaster chuckled and chastised, "Luxius, look at your student. His expression just now almost screamed, 'Tell me what the reward is.' You've spoiled him."
Luxius spread his hands and said with a mischievous grin, "How can you say I've spoiled him? Isn't it possible that the kid's inherently crafty?"
The headmaster gave Luxius a meaningful glance and hummed before speaking:
"You're not unaware that it was Flandre's insistence that led me to investigate before approving this kid's application.
Being a librarian may have little pressure, but managing the vast collection of the Restricted Section of the Mage Academy comes with significant responsibilities.
Don't tell me you believe I didn't investigate this kid years ago? Kael was truly a stubborn yet kind-hearted child back then. If he isn't well-guided now, you'll have to shoulder the blame."
Luxius was not offended but merely chuckled, "Just tell me, isn't Kael quite remarkable?"
