'Oh my...'

"WHAT THE HECK AM I SEEING?!" Zilon roared, his voice echoing through the room like a thunderclap. His reaction was understandable—anyone who saw a glowing blue panel materialize out of thin air would likely lose their composure. For Zilon, this was the shock of a lifetime. After all, this was something straight out of the novels and movies he had once dismissed as pure fantasy.

He pinched himself, rubbed his eyes, and even slapped his face to confirm he wasn't dreaming. But the blue panel remained, its text glowing faintly in the dim light of the room. This was real. Undeniably real.

The problem wasn't just the existence of the panel itself—though that was shocking enough. It was the information displayed on it. "Planet Terra? How in the world did I get here?" Zilon muttered, his voice dry and hoarse. He stared at the panel, his mind racing as he tried to process the implications.

As he read further, his brain felt like it was shutting down from the sheer overload of information. His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of soft footsteps approaching. He looked up to see the same woman from earlier standing in the doorway, holding a tray with a steaming cup of tea.

She was breathtakingly beautiful, her presence almost otherworldly. Her brown eyes, though indifferent, seemed to pierce through him. She walked over to his bed, her movements graceful and silent, and placed the tray within his reach.

"Zilon, you're finally awake," she said, her voice sweet but devoid of emotion. "It's been two weeks. I heard some noise and came to check. Here, have some tea to calm your mind."

Zilon was momentarily stunned by her voice. It was the sweetest sound he had ever heard, like honey dripping from a comb. Yet, her tone was so cold and robotic that it sent a shiver down his spine. Who could speak so indifferently to someone who had just woken from a coma?

"My name is Layla," she continued, her gaze scanning him as if assessing his condition. "When you're done, check if you can walk properly. If you can, come downstairs. If not, rest some more."

Without waiting for a response, she turned and walked away, her figure disappearing down the hallway. Zilon stared after her, his mind a whirlwind of thoughts. She was dangerous—not in a physical sense, but in a way that made his instincts scream at him to be cautious. Her beauty was almost unnatural, and he couldn't shake the feeling that she was hiding something.

He shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts, and turned his attention back to the tea. The aroma was soothing, and despite his reservations, he found himself reaching for the cup. He took a cautious sip, then another, and before he knew it, he had drained the entire cup. The tea was delicious, its warmth spreading through his body and calming his racing mind.

As he set the cup down, a wave of exhaustion washed over him. His eyelids grew heavy, and despite his efforts to stay awake, he soon drifted off to sleep.

A few minutes later, Layla returned to the room. She stood at the edge of the bed, her expression as indifferent as ever. She raised her hand, and a blue flame flickered to life in her palm. The flame was mesmerizing, its light casting an eerie glow across the room.

Without hesitation, she pressed her hand to Zilon's chest, the flame sinking into his body. She watched him for a moment, then nodded and left the room as quietly as she had entered.

Unbeknownst to Zilon, the flame had triggered a series of notifications from the Aetherial Codex. The messages flashed across his mind, though he was too deep in sleep to notice them.
