Erik woke up early the following day. It was going to be a significant day—most first-year students would have their first inner-ranking fight, including him.
Though he didn't yet know his opponent, he refused to underestimate anyone from the Red Palace.
Erik decided to start his day by heading to the cafeteria for his first daily quest, followed by training at the Yellow Palace. But he couldn't leave without Benedict, so he went to wake his friend up.
"Wake up!" Erik said.
"Hmm...? What...? Who...?"
"It's me! Get your ass out of bed, and let's have breakfast."
"What time is it?" Benedict asked with a foggy mind and half-asleep.
"It's 6:30 in the morning."
"Why did you wake me up so early...?" Benedict threw his pillow at Erik.
"Man, I will leave you here unless you get your ass up!"
Benedict groaned and dragged himself out of bed, muttering incomprehensibly on the way. He threw on his clothes and trudged after Erik into the hallway.
"Finally," Erik said. "Let's go..."
