Erik knew these monsters were only level 31 a month ago, which meant their power was increasing. Though he didn't understand how, one thing was certain: something was going on around New Alexandria.

Erik, Elena, and Anderson charged, with Robyn and Judith following them. Erik's four team members were nervous. It was the first time they fought thaids or killed another creature, and they feared what could happen if one of their attacks missed its mark.
Even Anderson was nervous.
Elena was the most frightened of all since she had to fight on the front lines without the powerful abilities Anderson had and couldn't understand how Erik could be that calm.
Judith and Robyn were tense, but not as much as Elena. They played a critical role but didn't have to face the thaids directly.
