"Are you sure they went this way?" Greg asked.
"A hundred percent..."
Greg nodded. "Okay then…" He turned to the others with a somber look. He and Zachary were with three other people, and they had been tasked to kidnap Erik Romano, the awakener. However, they weren't the only ones there. There were more gang members with them. They would need to stop the teachers from rescuing Erik.
They went out of the city through a secret passage the Crystal Cross gang used when they wanted to smuggle something or someone out of the city.
They had to trudge through the sewers to escape the city, leaving them covered in filth. The stench was so nauseating that even thaids avoided them.
The group ventured into the forest in search of their target, moving undisturbed by the local beasts. They needed to pay attention to avoid detection by soldiers and teachers.
