The Hekratinl growled.
Then the thaid stood still for several seconds, looking at Lain like a hungry beast, before charging again.
Lain resumed running, as the bear pursued her with even greater speed than before. The Hekratinl didn't care about trees, rocks, or bushes; its size allowed it to bulldoze through them as if they were nothing without hindering its stride in the slightest.
Lain was struggling to keep her footing and keep up with the bear.
"Shit, shit, shit!"
The beast had to stay on her tail at all costs. The problem was that it was too close. The ground trembled, and the tremors intensified with each step the beast took.
Despite running at full speed and trying to slow the beast by leading it into trees, nothing seemed to work.
