It's worth mentioning that the troops in this expedition didn't carry many supplies, and certainly not like the many wars once commanded by Yila, with specially designated supply units.
After all, what can such a group carry with them?
The Headless Knights and Black Knights who don't need to eat, do they need to bring grease to make their armor shine like new? That's too ridiculous; they wouldn't be particularly fond of their bodies. The scars on their armor are proof of their warrior status.
As for the Insect Men, each carried enough Blue Ching Mushrooms, and even Yila, who greatly admired wheat and rice, had to admit that this kind of food was indeed the best choice for an expedition.
Easy to carry, and able to fill the stomach, one can easily take enough to last half a month's battle and still have excess to share with comrades beside them... For instance, the Harpies who couldn't find much food in the nearby forest.
