A warning and heavy frown coursed across his face, and that stopped Alexa from daringly charging a witty remark at him.
She wondered if he knew how possessive he sounded, and while that possessive nature of his should frighten her, something about it made her feel wanted and desired. A feeling she had never felt since her mother died.

"Do you want a refill?" She asked, tipping her chin towards his cup.
Christopher raised his head toward her and then glanced at the cup. "Yes, please." He answered, and she picked up both their cups and beelined her way towards the coffee maker.
Christopher followed her with his eyes. There were still some things he wanted to know about her, and while there was a possibility she'd turn off the conversation like she earlier did, he was adamant on knowing.
He turned in his seat and looked at her. "What do you intend to study? Law, criminology?"
