William's masters moved just midway between him and the main army of the enemy. At such a distance, the hostile masters didn't have any doubt, as they could easily return back to their allies if things went south.
In fact, the main reason behind not suspecting anything lied in the constant defeats they suffered so far. William and his masters kept crushing the enemies in almost all confrontations so far. And when the enemies saw a chance to raise their morale, they didn't hesitate to fall into the bait.
"Good lads," William was keeping a close eye over the movements of his masters and the enemies chasing them. The result of this plan was way better than what he expected initially.
He thought he'd be able to lure a few thousands at most. But when his masters stopped at the areas he designed for them, there were thousands fighting every single group of them.
