The sorcerers were under a lot of pressure. Hidaer was under a lot of pressure with having to endure the attacks of the Superior Inferno Hawk that bow began to resort to physical attacks successfully damaging portions of the Coiling Dragon's Apparition and forcing Hidaer to expend more of his bloodline power to keep it active. It was well aware of Hidaer's inability to deal with it or keep it restrained for much longer and therefore was doing all it could to speed up the process. Once Hidaer was unable to go on, that would be the time to regain control over the situation.
Also, and rather unfortunately for Hidaer, he would not be able to restrain the Superior Inferno Hawk long enough to sever its connection with the spirit vein!
