Justin had a lot of pent-up anger from earlier, so hearing Jacob call him slow caused him to lose his temper. "If you're that good, how about you spar with me and see if I really am slow?"
"Hey! Watch your tone with Mr. Sullen!" Lex freaked out when he saw Justin behave so rudely toward Jacob.
He was about to teach Justin a lesson when Jacob stopped him and said, "Calm down, Mr. Wicker. As I said earlier, it is normal for young people like him to be a little hot-headed. I'll just have a little spar with him!"
"Please have mercy on him, Mr. Sullen!" Lex pleaded.
"Don't worry. I won't hurt him," Jacob replied calmly.
Feeling reassured by his promise, Lex figured it would be a good chance for Justin to learn a lesson on humility.
